Your telling me, my vision. Probably 1/4 the teams in the league they would make it as 3rd pairing D.

I said at the start of the season Hutton in another 160 games would become a steady 3rd pairing D. Stecher could probably play as a 6/7 on most teams.

I was asking you if you think stecher and Hutton, in your opinion, are two players who crack most NHL teams rosters. You just posted how you thought their development has been destroyed. Im simply saying, if players like Hutton and Stecher are players you are worried about in our future, then we are still destined for mediocrity. By your posts above, hutton is 2 years away from being a career 3rd pairing and stecher is s 6 or 7 (so not cracking 1/4 of NHL teams rosters). At this point manfan, i think its best you go your way and i go mine as we arent going to see eye to eye on certain things, or be able to discuss them in a civil matter.

If free agency has taught us anything, dont sign anyone over 25, and dont sign anyone under 25 for more than 3 mill or anything over a year.

I get what you’re trying to say here, but to be a UFA you are over 25, every player under 25 worth a big ticket (like Bo) isn’t interested in a short term bridge deal, you end up dealing PK when you (frank) that up.

Im mainly talking other team UFAs. Always gotta lock up a good young player within the organization like the Bos and Boesers and Arvidssons and Wennbergs etc. Those players very rarely make it to free agency anyhow.

Still early, i'm sure teams will tighten up. Last season only 7 teams were over 3.00 goals per game. Currently 14 teams over 3.00.

At least Van isn't allowing more then 3.00 goals per game. 19 other teams worse then Van.

All east coast start times

We are seeing what Bo and Baert are made from entering their prime years of hockey. Potential looks good. With some more elite talent and a better supporting cast. Hopefully in a season or two can get back to the playoffs and some experience.

Bo Boeser and JV have impressed the hell out of me . Sven is growing on me and is continuing to prove himself as a top 6 . I was wrong about him .

There are definitely good signs.

Sven is still and has always been a middle 6 to me. Moving more into a 2nd liner as the season moves on. It will probably come down to how much he wants $$$$. Would still need a more impactful LW ahead of him to make him any good.

I always looked at him as a third liner . I am saying though this year he is putting up second line numbers.
