I thought the Isles outplayed the Hurricanes in the second, but Carolina got a goal and the Isles didn't. Ward inarguably outplayed Halak in that period. The Isles screwed up some good scoring chances all by themselves, too, by passing up shots. Frustrating period.

And again, Carolina has come out flat in the 2nd period. We've made 8 shots from the high danger zone and Ward has stopped all of them.

No they didn't. The Isles didn't have momentum until after 6 minutes into the period. Blame Jaro all you want. Sure he could have played better but he is not the only reason they are losing this game.

Because the Isles didn't have any chances until 6 minutes into the period. The Canes were clogging up play and clearing the zone.

CDH with two open nets and decides to skate around the net. First half of the first period they were being lead 10-1 in shots. They had one shot on goal with over ten mins gone in the 2nd. Butch and some on here are making Ward look like a hero the bottom line is they could've scored 10 (frank)ing times if they just shot the (frank)ing puck instead of passing. Barzal to Eberle back to barzal . Ladd scored yesterday but he's (frank)ing worthless in just about every aspect of the game in fact he's one of those players that makes players around him worse. Horrible decision making with the puck and (frank)ing Bailey should be benched after tonight he's been horrible.

Always loved butchie. Loved him since the 80's but it's time to put him to pasture. Islanders passing instead of shooting on at least 10 glorious scoring opportunities with that brick wall completely out of position is why they're losing.
