It's a funny thing...I've played beer league hockey for 20+ years and a 3-4 goal lead is never a safe moment with the morons I play with....

BUT I can't believe professional athletes don't understand how to protect a huge lead.
I hope Dougie ripped them new a-holes after the game. I would have put them back on the ice for "Herbies" until everyone puked.

I think Dougie was pleased with the teams effert and result last night. The opponent was also professional and the best team in the league. There will always be a tendency for the team with a 3/4 goal lead to relax and also the trailing team to push or surge. Great time out taken by the staff. I think KB told Weight to use it.
I think last night was a measuring Stick game and they answered the bell imho.
Was the game a perfect example of how to play defense, no but they kept the best scoring line off the board and if they continue to play this way CONSISTENTLY this team is going to make noise in the post season.
If I’m Garth I go after a big shutdown D man like Gudbranson who’s falling out of favor in Vancouver. He has the pieces to go get one imho.

Yea um no they beat the best team in the league and had a tough 13 seconds and a break down. Tampa is lights out good and they held the top 2 scores in the league off the scoresheet. That was a great game against a great team
