Young.

Top 6 with tons of skill. Would help the PP a ton.

Nah we dump him because Stan has no clue with Contracts.

I don't remember a lot of people complaining about the Bickell contract when it was signed. IIRC, 3.5-4 million was the expectation after the 2013 Cup. The problem is that no one could have predicted the injuries and MS diagnosis a few years later. It would be great if every star player would take 1 to 2 million less per year just to play in Chicago, but that's not reality. A lot of the contacts for which you blast Bowman , if he didn't make, the Hawks would have one or two less cups.

Hi. Anybody having issues getting a malware “google rewards center” message on an iPad. I don’t have problems with this blog on a laptop or iPhone but the google malware pops up every page on my iPad. Don’t have this issue on the iPad on any other site. Thanks

Had the MS diagnosis happened sooner, the Blackhawks could have LTIRed him and not given up TT. That's the way it goes sometime. But, yeah, at the time, I don't remember too many people being upset about that contract.

Hinostroza contiunes to state his case. He had a really solid weekend (1 g, 1 a & 2 SO goals).

At some point soon the Hawks need to call up Vinnie. Not calling him up sends a bad message. Hinostroza is working his tail off and he’s producing, plus he has NHL experience. If that doesn’t get you called up what will?

If Stan had any balls he’d trade Kane for Teravainen straight up!
- DarthKane

I would be okay with that trade, but I would worry about the sweetener Stan would throw in to make it happen.

I have dealt with this on both Apple and Android. Sometimes it helps to close all sites you have visited, the history of the sites including other sites until each has been deleted. Suggest also close the hockeybuzz icon off your device, then power off frviced to clean up the device. After power back on, go to site and see if any better. I tried to Google the site instead on the icon on my home screen....made no difference. I wonder if this problem.comes from accidently touching an advertisement between blog entries as you scrolled down hockey buzz. Otherwise, re register on hockey buzz with different identifications

I will take a closer look at this as you suggested. Has already deleted all history and cookies and loafed HB directly from the browser. Might try the new user if if the problem persists.

Was it just me or did it look like DK was making more or an effort to put the puck on or near the net with shots where he wasn’t winding up so much and blasting the puck high off the glass. Thought the PK looked better with the lower and quicker shots from the point.

He can play centre, but I think he’s been playing LW.

Yes, I forgot to post this the next day. Took the words right out of my mouth. And he started this right after I posted that he didn't understand the value of getting his shot through. Seems one of the coaches has been up his ass and all of a sudden he's listening. I also noticed him trying to flip backhand passes like Kane always does. I like the effort, but his hands aren't anything like Kanes. If/when he screws the pooch on one of those it's going to be costly. But I applaud the effort.

Look at it this way. TT is playing on a team with NO PRESSURE TO WIN. Much easier to play night in and night out when you are not expected to be a winner.

TT is fine playing where he is. Good for him. He had an opportunity to play in Chicago, and he never took advantage of it.

No pressure to win? The (frank) are you talking about? The weight of the entire franchise is on these guys. There's a decent chance the team doesn't survive where it is if they don't make the playoffs.

He's been tremendous at both ends of the ice and his point-per-game status is anything but a fluke.

BINGO, your are a good guy, but come on! You know what I mean. College Basketball is King in your area. There is no pressure to play for the Hurricanes.

You don't think it's difficult playing in front of a half-empty building every night? It's easy to have an owner that's vocal about wanting to sell the club?

Every time they play Chicago, New York, Toronto, Montreal, Pittsburgh, etc. the players face questions about the future of the franchise. You don't think that wears on them?

They're desperate to make the playoffs because they know that everyone in that organization needs them to so that they can keep their jobs, so that the team doesn't move.

College basketball is king, sure, but to say there's no pressure to win is just patently wrong. The future of the franchise is on their shoulders.
