You guys are assuming you have all the facts. How do you know JV isn't dogging it in practice? Maybe Gagner is killing it in practice? You don't what goes on behind the scenes. - CanuckDon
I did say that I understand why, in some instances you gotta be tougher on the kids. But we didnt know what was happening behind the scenes when we were reading 'Fire Willie', 'Willie doesnt play the kids enough', etc. over how he treated Goldobin, JV, and Tryamkin |

Agreed, which is why I was criticizing Green's line combinations. I think there is a right mix in there somewhere but he has locked in a few lines that makes it difficult. I think Gagner might pair better as a playmaker to a straight line player like Virtanen, who also has size and speed - WhiteLie
I think this is my largest frustration with TG/Newel Brown – that players in the past (Ganger, Boes) do very well with specific players or specific situations (like both in their respective spots on the PP.) But it feels to me they're trying to make a certain player fit a certain aspect of their system, rather than helping to adapt that player's strength to their system. That's not to say the player doesn't have to change some and buy in, but not recognizing certain skillsets isn't helpful.
I also feel, because of his 'development' mindset, he may be harder on the kids to teach them the right things, and just sort of lets the vets off easier knowing they're not going to be around as long? Would still like to see him come down tougher on some vets though, the Sedins especially look half awake out there – the precision and attention has really dropped from their game. |

Guys/girls,
I'm sorry I lied to you yesterday. I made a claim that the Canucks could win a game if DP played more then that 16:15 mark. I hope you guys can forgive me. |

20 points out of a possible 38. Still only a .500 hockey club at best. Going to be in contention for a top 5 pick. I just hope we have another first round pick.

So Columbus just overpaid for Cam Atkinson. 5.875 for 5 more years! He's going to be putting up almost 60 points a season till he is 33 years old? I doubt that. They want him to earn it, better trade Van back for Sam Gagner. |
