He's improved, it's more than can be said for quite a few Canucks at this point.
But hey, I want that top5 pickanyway. Unless Boeser takes us out of it - neem55
I think he is too good as a # 7 . You have Edler MDZ Hutton and Pouliot , one would have to sit unless injury. That is why I think a trade will come. Weirchioch is a reliable 7/8.
I actually think Canucks did ok without Edler but I don't think he is going anywhere |

Nylander's a soft Euro though and a bust of a pick.
Kid shouldn't get any credit passing Nylander.
Forsberg on the other hand. Not bad at all - walshyleafsfan

That is why you hope OJ will be an upgrade . Canucks should be drafting a lot of D in the next three years |

I didn't realize Toronto picked Nylander for his grittiness??
If 61 points in his rookie season is considered a bust you might wanna look up the definition of the word.

Granlund had 19 goals last year , Sutter 17? . They were both top 5 goal scores and you put them as a shut down line against other teams best. Doesn't sound like smart coaching - VANTEL
DD on that line has 7 goals. Sutter has a donut for breakaways this season. Granlund was given a week on offensive support role with Vanek and Gagner and produced nothing. Seems like they haven't come through with their chances. |

It's a speed game now more then ever and EP has some jets to go with his offense.
So when do you think we'll be seeing this kid over here in NA? |

It don't work like that . Granlund was given a whole week? Lucky bastard what does that work out to like 45 minutes of playing time to find chemistry with someone he never played with before? BUST. Gagner has 2 goals, you consider him a scoring line ?
Sutter is playing against other teams best players and doing a good job of shutting them down. Now you want him to put up 15 goals , shine shoes , do dishes. BUST Try playing Sutter against other teams third lines see how he does. |

My issue is that granlund has never been a defensive specialist or shown signs to be. Dorsett and sutter arent really notorious goal scorers so i get greens rational thinking in trying to make them a shut down line. Granlund CAN score, as seen previously. I wouldn't mind seeing LE replace granlund and vice versa. LE isnt scoring and isnt terrible defensively, and Granlund gets a couple line mates who can produce slightly better lol |

Fair enough...
Forsberg scored at a 1.23 ppg in his 19yr season
Pettersson is currently at 1.27 ppg
As of today thats 2nd in SHL history behind Kent Nilsson |

They should start engraving his plaque for the HHOF pretty soon
In all seriousness, I'm excited about the kid too. I'm also on record as saying he'll be the best center in the 2017 NHL draft. |

Now I'm really confused. I think he bought a bottle of wine at the superstore but I didn't know you can buy booze there (now yet anyway). If so, where was this store.
Or is the stupidstore just another name for the BCLC? - bloatedmosquito
I just assumed you could. I know you can buy wine in save on foods these days.
Wines are sold in public big box stores now.
I believe its on wine. No spirits or beer. |

Granlund will play wherever the coach tells him to . I agree , he should not be on that line .
My point is people jumping all over the Sutter line and complaining as they are playing the other teams best players .
Sutter Granlund Dorsett 8 mil combined salary 10 G 8 A 18 pts
Sedin Sedin Eriksson 20 .2 mil combined salary 5 G 12 A 17 pts
One line goes against the other teams best the other line gets all the PP and advantage starts.

Its fun to pay attention to kids like lind and jonah and dipietro as they are playing kids the same age. To see what EP is doing against men is ridiculous. Really is impressive. Hopefully that translates to the NHL level. |

He's been playing right wing all season so I don't know how thats gonna pan out.
I just hope he does well at the WJs, maybe even make the Olympic team and hopefully he's putting on some muscle and increasing his core strength cus hes gonna need to bulk up before he comes over seas. |

If sutter and dorsett can contain other teams top lines, i wouldnt care if they ever got points. Granlund is only being scrutinized because of what he did last year. Sedins suck i agree with that lol. |

He's an extremely naturally talented kid and just what the organization is lacking. Number one center potential for sure. |

I keep thinking about what it would be like for Boeser and EP to be set up on their off wings on the PP - if they got somebody to feed them - the havoc they could potentially create is scary, imagine if Gadjo or Tryamkin was in front of the net.... |

Makes little difference to be honest, they drafted him to play center and that's what he'll play imo when he's good enough to make the NHL fulltime. They may put him on the wing to get his feet wet but he's gonna be a center.
You know Trevor Linden didn't play center in the WHL? He was a winger for the Tigers, Pat Quinn converted him to a center after they drafted him. |
