At least it was a mandolin you got careless with and not a saw.

That's the worst when you have a long ironman streak of never cutting yourself in the kitchen and then it's always something stupid that ends up with bandaids and blood everywhere. Chunk wounds leave (frank)ed up scars.

Buddy of mine just recently pulled down the back sliding door of a U-Haul type truck and didn't realize his finger was in the gap between two sections of the door as they came together. Like a garage door. Looked at his hand and the tip of his finger was chopped off just between the cuticle and the terminal knuckle. Can't sew that back on, so he's down a finger tip now.
