some would say that JvR needs to take a haircut in order to stay in Toronto... I honestly don't believe its up to him.... Lou will tell him what the haircut will be - and Lou will tell him he can like it - or not.

If Lou can sign Reilly and Kadri and Brown and Hyman all to VERY good deals... I have no doubt he can do the same for JvR.

I've got tree roots attacking my old pipe under the house. Probably need to break up the basement floor and replace about 25' of pipe. the other option might be trenchless pipe - where they inject a liquid into the pipe and it hardens quickly to create a new plastic pipe. Anybody done that?

I'm beginning to believe the same thing. If Lou got Kadri and Rielly to deals people didn't expect them to take then he can get JVR on a solild deal.

i hear ya. really nothing much else is worth watching on tv for me. i missed it too. was going to watch it on delay...

The biggest concern to me is the term. So many teams get soaked into it. A player's prime years are 27 - 29. You're paying him his career high salary and buying up 1 year of his prime performance, and then n years of declining performance.

Even with the cap going up, it becomes a boat anchor.

oh well. saw the OT winner and finished up watching the yotes hold on to beat the habs. ended well at least.
