with Berger, even when he's trying to be funny/obtuse or original... he comes across as monumental doink.

when they talk about "media in Toronto", all the folks who are in it now should step back and really appreciate (insert large sarcasm detector here) what guys like Berger, Simmons and few others did for years.

they watched games for years (and are themselves real fan boys) blowing hot and cold like the most extreme current fans do... but with a platform - be it the newspaper, radio or tv spot.

poorly informed, emotional "sports broadcasters" made following the Leafs horrible - I'm glad that these folks have either been marginalized or just ignored.

Berger should be considered the poster child for "fake (sports) news".
