We're not bad enough to land a top 5 pick IMO, more like we're in limbo or limda

This year's Grabner is Brian Gibbons, just saw his shooting % is 32%, that's not sustainable

Kreider, McD + a 1st for Draisaitl. Constanza is known for his lack of trade value.

Tick-tac-toe goals are not always going to happen. Need to shoot if you are in the middle half of either face-off circle or closer. Rangers need a sniper, a mean bastard, and fewer so-called play-makers.

You never score on 100% of the shots you do not take. Ask Ovie.

3 minutes with the extra man and not 1 quality chance......not 1

Yes, that was bad, but there was also only 1 shot attempt taken by Columbus with Hank pulled for the extra skater! That's a positive (a tiniest bit sort of), cranny, for what it's worth to the coaching staff, after allowing Hank to face 42 shots on goal during the prior 56:44, including being under siege in that 2nd period, when Columbus both out shot them 19-9 in SOG, and had 26 shot attempts to the Rangers 14.
But "the Bob" won them that game in making 36 saves, with some being of the tougher quality as well. He is again the best current goalie in the NHL at this point, & has a .968 save % during the Blue Jackets current winning streak, since their loss to the Rangers in NY on Nov. 6th.
There was also some bad luck on their first goal by Werenski, when Desharnais poked at the puck to break up a pass, but had it deflect outward to the wide open Werenski, to which Hank had to shift quickly to his opposite left side, and Werenski released the shot immediately back to the right side Hank had just moved from, leaving him virtually no time to react back in time. In addition, their second goal by Panarin came right after a questionable interference penalty call on Buch.
So I can't be that upset with the loss, except for them being dominated in the 2nd period, and the fact that besides another 2 lost points, they have to start winning on the road, in being 2-5-0 now, after earning 56 road points last season, which was what in effect, earned them only the 1st Wild Card spot.

So if the sniper option is out there, do you trade Zuccarello in part to acquire one?
They may just have to make some sort of "impact" player change move, to get to that next step.
But they must first acquire another backup here RIGHT NOW, because it seems they do not have the trust that Pavelec can equal Raanta's or Talbot's successful backup playing of the previous seasons. The 20 to 25 starting games rest for Hank is about 50% short of happening at this pace with Pavelec making only 3 starts thus far in the first 20 games, on the way to a total of 12. And Hank is not going to be able to start 70 games, without being burned out come postseason time, if there is a postseason here to begin with.
That's why I mentioned here earlier that Gorton should contact Arizona to see what it would require to bring Raanta back, even if a third team is needed involved. Would even an in his prime Patrick Roy, Dominic Hasek, or the like, make a huge difference in turning the Coyotes as currently constructed, into an immediate contender of some kind?
