I thought he was younger. Not that 28 is old, but in hockey terms its getting up there. He doesn't play an overly physical game so he should be good for that contract.

I am by no means defending Kassian. The guy truly seems to be a d-bag. But, I would think his comment comes from him feeling like Vesey took him out in a slew-foot type fashion and deserved what he got. I only say that from my memory of the way in which he fell, kind of backwards with his feet coming up off the ice in front of him.

Yeah that carries his contract until he's 36, so while it's not great...he should be able to phase into a lesser role when he starts approaching the NHL over-the-hill age.
