Last night's game was hard to watch even for a die hard tanker like myself. A team as vulnerable as LVGK and the canucks couldn't find a way to win it. - bloatedmosquito
That's how this team rolls. Beats teams like PIT LA then lose to a 5th string goaltender. Canuck luck and the Canuck way my friend.

I kept dozing off finally with five minutes left I went to bed.
lol no doubt. I thought Hank and Dank were 'ok' with their situation but I was reading before Hank is now whining about ice time? true story? - LordHumungous
Yes and last night he commented about how the team has to always battle back after giving up a soft early goal.

Henrik made a comment a week or two ago that their play would improve with more ice time. Looks like Linden had a talk with our all star coach.

I think most of us just want signs of improvement and this season has definitely provided some. But ugly losses emphasise this team still lacks basic competitive skills that need to be in place before this team is seen as actually building.
The early goal thing I could see as a player it's very frustrating to see your goalie let in the first shot of every game.
But really if the Sedins were producing and their TOI was low sure but that isn't the case. - LordHumungous
That early goal thing is definitely an outlier. It's gone beyond just being a fluke. Coach needs to take responsibility to point it out and correct it.
The canucks can score goals but IMO need to tighten up defensively; fore check and forwards coming back to help out the defence.

True...Bo - Boeser - Baertchi have looked good.
Pouliot - ok.
JV was looking good but isn't playing.
Granlund looks like a shadow of last year.
Tanev is out and Edler is back lol
Gagner might be a bust here.
Vanek looks good.
3 goals from the defense
MDZ looks stable but not stellar.
Burmi might be a bust.
on and on but yes you are right this team is lacking basic fundamentals to win consistently.
Salo : "We are working with Olli on his play on his own end, he needs to improve on that for sure if he wants to be a regular NHL defenseman and he has been better in that area. ." #Canucks - LeftCoaster
This is exactly why he'll never be Tanev or Hamhuis with more offense. He's sort of the opposite. The guy is an offensive dman who needs to work on his defensive game.
