Taylor Hall - Nico Hischier - Kyle Palmieri
Jesper Bratt - Travis Zajac - Drew Stafford
Adam Henrique - Brian Boyle - Miles Wood
Brian Gibbons - Blake Coleman - Stefan Noesen
As far as I know, Bratt is the only guy that can move to the right side? Can Boyle shift to RW?
Anything to get Zacha back in the lineup. Zacha in, Noesen out. I'd like to move Boyle to Noesen's spot and roll Zacha-Henrique-Wood. That's a pretty decent 3rd line. |

Scott Stevens is a gem and there will never be another. He is The Captain. He is what an NHL defender should be. NHL got so weak its sad. - Leniwm1

I retract my statement about this being a can't-miss.
Zajac is like the cops who show up to bust the party. NJ are better defensively this game at least. |

That was as close as it gets. We lost but that was a entertaining game, despite the low (or no) score. Great game. |

That was a game full of low quality shots. Andersen would have stopped them all for thirty six hours. The only shot that he shouldn't have had was the Wood breakaway where the shaft deflected the puck wide.
Offense needs to get much smarter, much higher paced. |

Gonna have to disagree here.
Schnieds made several epic saves throughout the game.
Andersen was incredible in 3rd and OT.
Goalies were 1st and 2nd stars.
There were plenty of quality chances. |

I thought both NJ -TOR games were pretty exciting but Anderson looked a heck of a lot better tonight. Seems like he's started the season slow both years with the leafs and then really locks it down.

You and I have very different definitions of this. The Leafs, despite being outshot, had the superior scoring opportunities. They deserved the win. |

I think you are kind of splitting hairs for no reason. It was a great hockey game that could have gone either way. Both teams had ample chances. Both goalies stood on their heads. Debating who had marginally better chances in such a close game doesn't really matter, at least to me. Either team could have won and felt like they battled well and were rewarded. I was happy to get a point, 2 would have been better. The Leafs did seem to swarm for longer and had a few more 'how did they not score there' moments but it is what it is now. Was a fun game even though it was totally scoreless until the last possible seconds.
It was Zajac's first game back, I saw him dump it in and chase more than we are used to seeing and take some safer plays than we are used to seeing with the kids. He is still trying to get to game speed here, I liked him on the line with Bratt and Stafford, I think they will improve. I thought Nico had a good game also. Every time that first line is on the ice they make things happen. |
