This is a great move for the Oilers. Cammy can still play with the best, his point have dropped off quite a bit, but I think with the right chemistry he can bring them up again |

He was playing in a 3rd line role in LA, which he tried admirably in, but is not his strength. If they try the same in Edmonton, it will likely work out the same. I like the trade for LA because we got a player who's a better fit for the role that we have open.
Cammy is also dirt slow (although I assume Jokinen is as well). If Cammy is giving a scoring role, could be a win-win. |

LA, got an okay players but Cammy is one of those guys who has the scoring touch but only when he has the right chemistry. His only other option is plant him right infront of the net and he can score a few.
He has also always been a big playoff guy, scores big goals at the right time.
It could be a win - win for both teams. |

He’ll slot in as a shooter on the 2nd unit probably.
And give the 3rd line someone with at least a modicum of scoring talent.
Jokinens metrics that show he was good at defence will not be missed in the least bit.
There is no scenario where we lose this trade. Jokinen was doomed for the press box long term regardless |

What if Cammy is a liability on the backcheck and starts making waves when he thinks he's not getting the ice time he thinks he deserves? |

RIM IT Jero, Jokinen and the Janitor.
Also I am totally fine with this trade. At the very worst it’ll bear lateral results. - Wildschwein

If he actually deserves playing time, that'll mean he's actually producing points. And if he's not, he doesn't have a leg to stand on and can be waived. Simple as that. |
