Keep him down. He needs to prove himself. I don’t know much but I do know that lehtera is proven. Weise is proven. And Martel is not proven.
And that’s all I need to know - Just5
I watched some video on Martel after all the hype. I don't see his game translating all that well. He didn't particularly impress me with his skating and he took risks that would be going the other way in the nhl a lot. He benefits from the lack of structure in the ahl he would be largely contained in a tight checking game. This is why it's hard for me to trust box scores or stat lines. My best comparison is that he's a smaller slower poor man's tk.

I never thought weal would translate do to a lot of these issues. I guess he’s not blowing any doors off, but he looks like he belongs.
The same can’t be said for a couple other flyers

At the moment Flyers may be the worst team in the Metro after i watched the Canes last night

5'8 160 lbs vs 5'10 185 lbs is a pretty sizable difference. Weal is also a better skater imo. But yes I had some similar reservations. Weal still has not proven to be a consistent nhl player he could just as easily be a fringe guy again by contract end.

Martel is 4th on the list of who I would call up. McDonald vecchione lindblom are definitely ahead of him in my book.
McDonald is straight out of the VDV playbook. He could play in the NHL and offers some checking ability...but I'd rather he play elsewhere or in LHV
I would have Lindblom and Vecchione up before Martel - YuenglingJagr
Yes but depending on who goes down he can play a more defensively responsible role. I don't foresee Martel being able to fill a role like that in the bottom 6.

I agree...but they still have guys like Read and Weise that can do that better than McDonald

This exactly. And one of the things certain fans dont take in to consideration when talking about call ups and roles.
