was going back and forth with dan about this i want greiss and soderstrom as a back up but he thinks thats asking too much for a rookie, he may need a year in the ahl first. halak is gone so someone needs to be here next year

I hope Soderstrom being in the Swedish elite league helps quicken his development. I'm not saying Soderstrom plays most of the games next year, but Greiss would be a fine guy for Soderstrome to learn from. Greiss never complains and has the perfect attitude for a young goalie.

I was on the 60/40 or 70/30 split but he thought it was too optamistic

the team hopes for a 22 month build and yes thats with l.i. politics but the governor wants this done and its on state land and malkin is a big time developer and they did the practice arena if 4 month and they can donate to his campaign for president and its the last one thats going to grease the wheels

Well that will be another bet that You and I will have when and if they get the Deal which they should.

For your info, The Twin Rinks was there They built a locker room and training facility which is basically studs, sheetrock and finishes.

Don't get confused with building a state of the art arena. Everybody who builds an arena or anything wants it done as fast as possible. Time is money but the state and local gov't. don't give a shat.

Little Caesars in Detroit was supposed to take 2 years too but it took 3. Construction and Delays go hand in hand with each other.

Your kidding yourself. Most guys play to win a SC. If the Isles aren't in a position to at least make a run at it, why the hell would he stay? Regardless of the arena. Staying in NY doesn't mean jack-shit if the roster doesn't improve the way he thinks it should.

May be in NY but just wearing a different Jersey

im sure it will take longer but they seem to have it all lined up like its a yes. I really want them to get the arena even if jt leaves the team will still be here and thats most important to me.

While I would love to have JT on the team, just can't see it happening. JT doesn't seem like the kind of guy that would got to a major rival even if he has the choice to go where he wants.

I agree mdw. Rangers to me along with the Leafs might be surprising longshots.

I might have to give up hockey if JT signed with the Rangers.

Leafs really need to focus on D. JT is just not a big need and I do not get the sense JT is dying to play there.

To me theres no way they dump all the money they have into northwell and other things if they thought there was a chance to leave. Otherwise they wait till they win to build or just move and leave it as is/was
