I said this in July knowing we would be in this position now. You laughed at me if I recall correctly. Well here we are. - Cptmjl

Trade will be tough unless Isles allow the team to sign JT. Team like Tampa would have good players to give the Isles. No idea about the Sharks or St. Louis in terms of players? - ses111
Unless Kucherov is in the deal, not interested. So, you can go ahead and get Tampa out of the equation.
It may take until June 30th, but he will re-sign. |

if he isnt signing he needs to tell them so they get something. as it stands now teams wont give you a ton unless hes a rental at deadline or they stand a shot at resigning him - Upstate_isles
I have no issue if JT is unhappy with how things have gone with the Isles, but I would have a huge issue if he says nothing and just walks away on July 1. That would be a BS move to do. Isles have to trade him to teams that can re-sign him and allow teams to sign him at the time of the trade. |

I would think Isles would ask for Kucherov. I know I would. I still think JT re-signs, but it's not 100%. |

C'Mon man any team that's looking to trade for JT is looking to add to what they already have. - bgainesDM
And what if someone who want's to add him needs to get rid of salary to do it?
Come on thats so myopic when it comes to trading JT. What if Toronto truly wants to add him? They offer Marner to start and who knows. |

I don't think Tampa would get rid of somebody that could be better than JT down the road. |

Well lets be honest. With everything we have to go on at this point he is being an arsehole. "I'm in no rush " "it's a big decision". Givemeafucjingbreak. He knew about his impending FA from the onset. If he walks he's a scummer and Snow is an even bigger idiot for letting it happen and not doing anything about it like getting a big return like he could have in the summer. |

yes, i think eberle and barzal show this team is deeper and take some pressure off of him. add a top d man and solidify the net and this team is as good as any. right now they can beat any team in the league they just need a piece or two |

Tampa wouldn't trade kucherov for Tavares right now most likely. |

I don't think tampa is breaking up their team right now honestly. Looks like its clicking on all cylinders down there right now. |

Have you seen the way Marner's been playing the last 3 weeks. Way too inconsistent for my taste. No thank you. What it took for Minnesota to get Hanzal at the deadline last year as a rental is nothing compared to what the price will be for JT. |

C'Mon man any team that's looking to trade for JT is looking to add to what they already have. - bgainesDM
They're called prospects. IF JT were to be traded, my guess would be a couple top prospects, several draft picks and an established roster player. You have to give to get. Nobody is going to trade a top player in the league for a handful of draft picks spread over 2-4 years. Look what blowjob Sakic got for Duch. To me, JT is a better player than Duch. Of course, time becomes a factor. If Snow is looking at the trade deadline to trade him, the bounty might be slightly less than expected. Personally, I think he plays out the season and leaves via free agency. That would be Garth. Lose the best player he ever drafted for nothing. |

I'm a huge fan of Kucherov and especially with his playoff track record. I'm not sure of a deal with Johnson and others does anything? I know Johnson is not on JT's level. |

I think Yzerman would move mountains to add JT. Initially wgem you look at it you say its most ljkely not going to happen but whem a gm wants a player like tavares they make it happen. We've all seen this before |

I think a guy like Barzal is a huge help along with Eberle and hopefully Beau and Ho Sang. Pulock and some of the young D could help as well. Goalie will need to be settled. |

You gotta be kidding me. Regardless if it's Garth or any other GM, no GM will let him walk for nothing if the Isles are guaranteed to stay in NY. Unless they're dead buried in February, he will not ask for a trade nor leave. |

Well that's Snow's MO isn't it? He pretty much never gets a return on players that are leaving via free agency. Hence why I said trade him in July or we're (frank)ed. Well we're most likely (frank)ed. |
