He said his current injury has sidelined him longer than expected due to the nature of his position. Price said the lower-body injury occurred in warm-ups against the Minnesota Wild on Nov. 2. He allowed five goals on 26 shots in that game and was ruled out for the team's next game a day later.

The 30-year-old said he had expected to return within a two-week frame of the injury, but he hasn't been progressing as hoped.

Price did not skate Tuesday and the team said he will also take Wednesday off. Price said that decision was made because his injury was not getting better.
