why would he trade subban? - Tumbleweed
1: Didn't follow the gameplan
2: Kept controlling the music in the lockeroom
3: Was way too loud, which disturbed Pacioretty
4: Triple low-fives
5: Giving millions to a hospital. Who does he think he is? |

How Lou tolerates this kind of behavior is beyond me. |

They're doing it while shaved. That's all that matters.

He allows this as a trade-off for Marner not growing a beard. |

i'm ok with that as long it is soshnikov
edit: why would ana do that?
bozak barely an upgrade over vermette.
carrick much worse than manson.
and soshnikov is an ahl player.
ana would need jvr. - MaximusAurelius
both trades were really bad |

I wonder if the Leafs are thinking about a Bozak for Jack Johnson swap.
Very equal trade value.
Gives the Leafs a defender to pair up with Zaitzev for all those defensive zone starts. Johnson has succeeded in CBJ with Savard in that regard.
Slide Gardiner down and move Borgman over to the right side which will give Gardiner more offensive zone starts.
Then the Leafs keep all those prospects/picks for the deadline for a big trade there. |

i think the jackets over value JJ. i'm not sure they'd want to move him.
if we add a dman, borgman can go to the ahl. too many penalties for the few minutes he plays. needs to sort that poop out. |

Borgman still makes lots of gaffes but he's in the "well he's just starting out in NA so we won't lynch him yet" phase. |

I would pass on him. Must be better d-men out there. |

I'm not sure if they do. He's a UFA and with all their d men they don't have the room for him. They have Carlson as the 7th d playing 5 mins a night.
Both have the same salary and both are UFA's. Both are a fit in eachothers lineup.
Borgman has been fine imo. A rookie d will make some mistakes and is all part of the learning curve. He maybe becomes the 7th After the trade deadline if the leafs were to trade for another D |

Sure, but just because the Leafs trade for JJ dosnt mean they can't trade for another defensmen.
It's not like they are giving up the world for him. |

Going into the playoffs(if they indeed make it)
Rielly-Hainsey
Johnson-Zaitzev
Gardiner-trade deadline player
Borgman
That's pretty nice going into the playoffs. Borgman>Marincin if/when a d goes down like last year. |

I still blame Marincin an irrational amount for the Leafs losing RD1. |
