The teams been playing well and its good to see Mitch and JVR getting some points.

Yup, this one is replacing the black lab who went to the great dog park in the sky about 4-5 years ago.

There's 1 black female and 5 brown females - I'd kinda prefer the black one, but a brown one will be just fine.

I don't know if I want a trade to be honest.

We have too many wingers as-is, our D hasn't looked great mostly because of Gardiner and Zaitsev, but it's still early, and they're coming around. Borgman and Carrick have looked solid for our 5/6.

And then we have Rosen/Dermott/Liljegren, all ready to make the jump at some point in the near future.

Nah, Andersen fills that role going forward pretty well.

a better backup is always a good idea - although I don't think anyone on here ever said McElhinney was one of the Leafs' problems? (only mention was that he wasn't good enough to be a starter in case Andersen would get injured)

In times like this, I look to the GM Mode of EA NHL96.

3 third liners can usually be swapped for 1 first liner.

And in NHL96, if the league turned down your trade, you could always over-ride it. I think Lou actually has that power in the league today.
