JVR doesn't need to go. The only reason he does go is as the major asset going the other way in order to land us a legit Top 4 d-man. The Leafs should do their best to try to finagle a trade without his name attached (which is, admittedly, unlikely).

Gardiner gets way too much hate here. He's currently behind only Zaitsev in ATOI -- which means Babs has faith in him. The only way I see him traded is in a deal for an upgraded RHD (Doughty, Trouba, et al.).
