Polak/Carick are likely used as fillers to fill voids and salary's.

When Matthews isn't playing, it's hard to tell which line is the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th line.
....
Sounds exactly like the Habs. |

Hells yes, we had this conversation a couple weeks ago.
Definitely bottomless brunch.
Also bourbon and tequila are cheap everywhere you go.
Stay away from times square. The subway is your friend. West Harlem is actually a really good time for a night out, find you a jazz club. |

good idea
hockey game + jazz afterwards sounds like a good idea.
the bottomless brunch part a bit more difficult, since i'll be there for work.. Especially on the Thursday, will be leaving meeting, directly off to the game. |

Phi vs NYR 16th of Jan
Bos vs NYI 18th of Jan
I might be looking at attending both games in NYC.
Any tips/tricks? - MaximusAurelius
Philly at Rangers would be a good game - the fans hate each other. Even though it's on a Tuesday night, be prepared to pay through your rear end.
I doubt Islanders tix would be much of a problem. Just get them off of Ticketmaster.
Or go on the Islanders blog here on the 'buzz and ask what the scalper situation is. If you are staying on Manhattan, just take the subway to the Barclay's Center - much easier and cheaper.
Or an alternative would be to go to the Washington @ NJD game on the 18th. Newark is a hell hole, but you can take a train from Manhattan right to the arena.
But going to Brooklyn would be way better. |

Time for a nap in between.
Also, beware certain seats for NYI. I think there are sections that you can't see one end of the ice from. |

Just screwing around on Seat Geek - looks like you can sit in the lower bowl for the Islanders game for less than $100 USD. |

phi-nyr ok seats for 130 USD per.. doesn't seem all that bad?
i was looking as well at buf vs. nyr the thursday - just to be able to cheer for the rangers to destroy buffalo
would be nice to see tavares though vs boston. nyr - buf 730pm start so a bit better for me..
anyways, seems like still quite more reasonable for ticket prices than leafs ticks.. |

Popcorn Grapefruit? Are you one of those (frank)s walking around like a steam locomotive blowing out clouds of sour apple cotton candy toffee bullpoop??
Or we talking about my Airizer Air type? |

Propylene Glycol, the invisible part of the e-liquid that gives it a throat hit.
I vape but I'm not a hobbyist, I do it so I don't get the urge to crush a pack of darts every time I have more than four beers and because since quitting full time smoking I can actually play ball hockey for two hours without expectorating my entire pulmonary system.
Also I vape an approximation of what Marlboro Reds are supposed to taste like.
In reality it tastes like burnt peanuts. |

JVR, Bozak and Gardiner still need to go.
a better backup is always a good idea - although I don't think anyone on here ever said McElhinney was one of the Leafs' problems? (only mention was that he wasn't good enough to be a starter in case Andersen would get injured)
so anaheim and leafs make their trade today?
JVR + Carrick + 3rd rounder
for
Manson + Cogliano - MaximusAurelius
JVR doesn't need to go. The only reason he does go is as the major asset going the other way in order to land us a legit Top 4 d-man. The Leafs should do their best to try to finagle a trade without his name attached (which is, admittedly, unlikely).
Gardiner gets way too much hate here. He's currently behind only Zaitsev in ATOI -- which means Babs has faith in him. The only way I see him traded is in a deal for an upgraded RHD (Doughty, Trouba, et al.). |
