JJ reporting that there are more than normal amount of scouts at the Rockford game.
Specifically, the Director of Pro Scouting from the NYR.
I'm checking in with some contacts on if there is anything on the go related to this. |

How many minutes does that 4th line skate? Under 8, is my guess.
This team is a shell of what it was, and that's on Stan. |

kreider is 26 with 4 years left (inclusive of this one) at 4.6 mildo cap it. fits the MO of cost control and relatively young...but to fit his salary someone of significance needs to go...
why are rangers interest in moving him and what the hell to the hawks have to offer..

The HAWKS are paying players for what they have accomplished .Well other teams are paying players huge for what they hope they may accomplish .I take what we got ,and still believe under the right circumstances this team has the ability to due damage . - oldduffman
of course...no argument...what is contended is the $$ and length...stanbow bid against himself...
and what would be the "right circumstance" playing coyotes or sabres every other night..
all teams go through mediocre and tough stretches during the season over 10-14 games. this one is troubling to start the season and basically continuing the pred series...
will they start scoring and go on arun...yeah...all teams do that to...the question is can they sustain it or give it right back... |

Just saw how Al Secord will skate "One More Shift" Sunday night.
Well earned Mr Secord, well earned!! - 35Tony0
Is that right ??????
If so, that would be fantastic.
No Greater Warrior ever to wear the Indian Head. Savard, Secord, and Larmer may have been the greatest line of all time.

NYR ??? That means something small not including the actual problem with the Blackhawks, THE OLD CORE !! Kane Toews, Keith, Seabrook and Sharp.
Excluding Saad and Crawford.
I'd prefer they deal with the NYI involving Toews +++ and Tavares+++. Both teams need to change their direction. You could include Keith or Seabrook or Anisimov to get Leddy back as well as far as I'm concerned. Then Q would say so long too. A total WIN WIN !!
If there is ANY possible way to move any of those CORE guys for whatever, it should be looked at. That is....of course...if management totally understands and can admit what is truthfully going on here and has been for the past 2 years......regardless of the standings. The eye test has been obvious for a while now with the HO HUM CORE of non competes.
Thank you for the 3 Cups but it's time to move forward and rebuild.

IceHogs lost 6-0. What a showcase that must have been. - matt_ahrens
Just more proof on which directiin organization they're heading.
Has anybody noticed how Patrick Marlowe is playing for the Leafs ???
What's he about 37 ??? I guess it proves that if you still have heart, you can compete in this league !! |

Darling has only given up two goals in his last two games and is 7th in the league with a 2.35 GA. Of course any possibility to move CC and save a couple mildo which the Hawks desperately needed was killed when Crow and his agent pulled the no mover card on Stan (shocker there).

Justin,
Good timing on taking over the blog......................not.
Hard to come on here and comment positively about what's going on right now. The team is a mess, regardless of what people think, the organization really isn't though. I remember what it used to be like.
They tried to stretch the window and get one more cup, they look like they failed. Others have done the same thing, and most have failed. Signing Seabs wasn't a mistake, duration was. Toews signing, while killing them now wasn't a mistake, everyone on this board at the time would have, and so would have every other NHL franchise.
Its probably time to realize your losses, and start your rebuild though. Every team goes through it, not all realize it and hang on making playoffs barely or just missing, and getting mid first draft picks. Dump the guys you can, don't give up the future. Dump guys at the trade deadline when teams are desperate and get picks. I know most will say you can't trade any of these guys, but how many times have we seen a team desperate for a cup make a stupid trade at the deadline for a chance at a cup. Think a team who is one Dman short wouldn't take a risk on Seabs to get a cup? Wiz will have to comment on which years are the best to stack picks in.
I'm guessing they know they'll be able to dump some contracts in the next CBA, but I wouldn't wait for that. Make the move now, and start the rebuild.
We got 3 cups, its more anyone expected, time to move on.
I'm not looking forward to 3 years of reading nothing but female doging about the team, hard to take, and life is short. |

Other than Bobby Hull, probably the second best left wing ever to wear the Indianhead. Definitely my favorite Black Hawk of all time right behind the Golden jet. To this day the team has never replaced is absence. The only one even remotely as tough as he was. Was Bob Probert. Whom I also enjoyed watching him play. That type of player is a lost art in today’s sissified game. |

Unfortunately the Hawks have become even more sissified than today's game. Notice how other teams own the creases at both ends of the ice. Players in the blue paint at our end might get the odd token push while the opposition mugs Toews and company at the other end.
