Russell and Fayne for Mueller and a pork roll. Might as well hand me the GM of the year award right now.

You can't be worse than Chiarelli. I'd give you a shot.

zero issue with scratching Zacha. his confidence will be fine. It's not like he's being scratched and benches every other game. He knows he needs to be better and come back with his A game.

This has been a brutal period. But a bunch of good looks on that power play. Need special teams to convert here because this one definitely won't hold.

That it was.

Hopefully Nico learns to be a little more selfish.

I get that Gibbons has had a great season but I don't like having him out for the 3 on 3. Doesn't suit his "skill set" and it just seems like a waste of the limited time you get in the OT. Hall, Hischier, Bratt, Palmieri, Henrique...maybe Wood, Stafford, Johansson, Zacha, and maybe Zajac when healthy IMO should be the only forwards ever seeing 3 on 3 time. On D just rotate Greene, Butcher, Severson, and OT legend John Moore. It's only 5 minutes you don't need to send bottom six/pairing guys out there without guys getting gassed.

You know who has more goals then Gibbons on this team? Nobody.
I almost pooped a monkey when Gibbons made this team but he's surprisingly good and he's pretty fast. I'd think OT kind of works with his skill set.

I wouldn't try to feature him and specifically Hall, Hischier, Bratt, Palms, Stafford and Henrique would seem like the most obvious guys. But I have no idea what Zacha or Johnasson have done to warrant OT time? Wood is an exciting option because of the speed but he doesn't have a lot of finish.

Gibbons has been good but I'm still not sold at all on him being a legitimate top 6 forward, I feel like he's just started the season hot. He's our leading goalscorer but does anyone here think he'll be in our top 5 goalscorers at seasons end? Idk every time I've seen him in OT so far I feel like the team hasn't gotten much done during those shifts.

If we're healthy he's definitely not a top 6 guy and he shouldn't be among the top goal scorers at the end of the year. Just saying I don't have a problem with Gibbons being used that way. We can both agree there are some other guys we'd probably both prefer to see in there.

Most of that overtime was a mess other then the one good rush by Hall and Hischer. Disappointing ending as it seemed the team really went after it during regulation. Lot of good offensive zone pressure. The way that OT was going I would have loved to taken our chances in a shoot out even if it was the same fate.
