I've never heard of white pizza being trendy either. I also can't think of anyone in my circle of friends that eats it.

Agree that the quality of pizza affects toppings though. Ultimate pizza to me is Manco and Manco in Ocean City or Lorenzo's on South Street. I always just get plain slices there and will put a little red pepper and oregano on. Maybe sriracha to dip crust in.

If I'm getting meh pizza like the majority of places in philly / south jersey I might get pepperoni or sausage. I also love sauteed mushrooms and I think mushrooms are a great pizza topping as long as they aren't garbage canned mushrooms, but I know that's probably a minority opinion cause mushrooms gross a lot of people out for whatever reason.

But if I'm getting chain pizza with a group, sure throw whatever poop you want on there. Agreed that dominoes is the best chain pizza.

I love mushrooms, personally, and not just on pizza.

I'm a big Sam's guy, myself. Probably my favorite pizza joint along with Lorenzo's but cmon that's a given.

I used to go there as a kid and crush...I mean...CRUSH the pickles...theyd leave them out to grab a few to put on sandwiches and I am not kidding I would empty the (frank)ing things

those were the days I could get a 5 for $5 for myself

- YuenglingJagr

I slam their sauce. beef n ched is a staple.

No shame, I will get the 5 for 5s for myself.

I've done some pretty cool poop, but one of the best moments of my life was definitely when i got to my car and opened a box that was supposed to be 2 manco and manco slices and they'd given me 4.

Yeah Sam's is my favorite in Wildwood. Macks in Wildwood and Manco and Manco in Ocean city are nothing alike anymore. Macks is pretty poopty these days imo.

Although true, college is a thing and the good places don't go half off if the Eagles win Or whatever it is they choose to do. I think one season they went half off if the Phils hit a home run?? Or something.

Went to school in Chicago with 2 local chains in walking distance for deep dish. Then a ristorante right across from my apartment. There was a Papa John's too, but I would've rather starved. Both chains sucked, were overpriced, overcrowded, didn't know how to make non deep-dish: regular pies were a loose, slippery (frank)ing mess. Ristorante made a pizza like you'd get here and was cheapest and nicest establishment of the bunch. Northeast boy knows where it's at.

I know a Pizza Hut that closed down shortly after a worker got arrested for putting actual poop in the pizza, under the cheese.

Arby's sauce is fantastic...ranks in the top 5 chain sauces probably

I don't have a definitive list, but Red Robin's Poppyseed Honey Mustard is the undisputed champion

Used to be a joint in south Philly called Triangle Tavern. Went there before games for their awesome pizza and a pitcher of beer. Sadly some douchebag yuppies bought the place and it went downhill fast. These days, now that I live in Linwood, we usually go to Sals in Somers Point when we're craving pizza.

They did for awhile, or at least certain stores did as a test. It was like buying frozen individual pizzas at the grocery store

I've always wanted to try deep dish.

Let me be transparent: I rarely order from dominoes, and if I do it's really kind of a novelty thing. Me and my bro planning on playing video games all night and mom and dad are away? Could be a dominoes night. At school, when you got that craving 4-6 times a semester after a 9 hours of studying with your friends? Could be a dominoes night.

I would never stoop as low as to say I want pizza tonight, I'll get some dominoes. If I say I want pizza, I get Nino's here at home. You only get dominoes if you want dominoes.

I enjoyed how recently Papa John was throwing a temper tantrum about sales being down because of NFL protesting.

And then Pizza Hut was like, "We good over here. Papa's just a little female dog."

Red Robin robs you if you don't do it right. Their burgers are pretty solid tbh, but pricey.

If you bring me though, it's worth it. Bottomless fries. Bottomless strawberry lemonade. Yeah.

Don't know what that is, but Wikipedia says:"Its main competitors are Long John Silver's and Captain D's."
