and that is what i am saying.. if he continues like this i don't want him for 4 mil.

if he had stats like last year i would be fine. i defending him multiple times last year but i just can't anymore with the way he has looked.

Looking at how Johnson has played like Goose said it's just as much team related as it is goaltending issues

In Lehner's defense on Ovie's goal, how many times have we seen that cross ice pass go to #8 for the one-timer? I think I have seen that same goal by Ovie more than any other goal being scored by any other player anywhere on the ice. Knowing he is on the ice, most goalies probably would have pushing off to get over as quickly as possible anticipating that one-timer.

I'm not particularly a lehner fan, but he did play good against the caps. How many times have we mentioned "don't let in a softie" he didnt. The ovi goal was pretty sweet. Lehner's reaction time was slow, but at least it wasn't a wrap around or going to his knees over the shoulder shot.

Ulmark is going to be starting next year for the sabres at a reasonable price. More money to keep moulson and bogo with out giving up assets to trade them or buy them out

There's no way Moulson is on the team next year. He'll be waived to Roch. Sabres save a million bucks

I'll give you this, the sabres are undefeated when Moulson has scored this year

Pittsburgh hasn't been known for buy outs or waiving players to the ahl. Why would the Americans want a losing attitude? Every one was thought gorges would be bought out. Why tax our future cap with a buy out. Just let him sit. Cap isn't an issue, kane or not

Pittsburgh wasn't in a position where they were playing a guy $5m and he has 0g, 0a, -7 through 10 games, who also doesn't play physical, doesn't play the PK, and doesn't hustle. The dude is done. They can waive him and he can sit at home for all i care. We can't afford to waste any roster spot - even an extra forward spot on a guy who is guaranteed to not produce.

If Moulson plays 10 mins a game, that's 15% of the game that you are almost guaranteed to not score a goal-for.

If he plays 5 mins, he taxing the guys above him because he sucks. It's not even about the cap space (although that's a bonus). Moulson is flat-out washed up and done.

Robin Lehner will honor fallen Buffalo Police Officer Craig Lehner on Friday by changing his number to Craig Lehner's call sign and wearing "C. Lehner" on his Sabres jersey.

Jcrag- in no way do I feel like moulson is good or even average. He sucks. My point is : the sabres may handle his situation in a different way than you implied. Look at gorges just sitting around.

I saw a picture of Officer Lehner with a Robin Lehner jersey on. So this is very cool. Everything I've ever seen about Lehner outside the rink makes it seem like he's genuinely a great guy. This just kind of reinforces that.

I get that, but i think Gorges is a bit different. He can be effective as a 10-14 min defenseman in a pinch as the #7 dman. He's also physical, he's a leader, and he can play the PK if needed. Moulson brings none of those things.

Gorges was also hurt recently

Gorges is hurt. Which is why he's not playing right now. He only sat the first few games of the season and then played for the next 3-4 before getting injured.

That said, according to Rotoworld, he said he feels ready to go back into the lineup. They just updated the comment today, so we'll see I guess.

Of course they did...

In any event, it's an awesome thing to do. There's a part of me that would love to get that jersey in the auction, but I can only imagine how crazy the price is going to end up.

The honorable thing to do is whomever wins the auction to just give the jersey to the family anyway

I thought he started #8 on the defensive depth chart

Risto
Mccabe
Scandella
Bogo
Beulivue
Antipin
Falk/tennyson
Maybe 9th.

Didn't play the opener, and bogo was suprisingly hurt. That's pretty much at least 8th starting the season,

6 starters
Bogo
Gorges scratched
