Next week I expect the Giants to all just pull down their pants and defecate in the middle of the field in protest of Ben McAdoo |

Ott 1st is not lottery protected. Ott misses playoffs, win lottery on both picks and col drafts 1st and 2nd overall. Sakic looks like a genius. - devias69
According to Elliotte Friedman: The Ottawa first round pick is top ten protected. If it ends up being in the top ten, the pick is deferred to 2019.

this reminds me of the leafs getting phaneuf. thinking they filled a number one role and huge steal. it will likely end the same. good player, holes in a top role, gets overpaid to play a top role for too long a term. but i could be wrong...which isnt likely. |

and you're butt hurt Duchene isn't a Blue Jacket, we get it - DDM-Coga

coming from someone that is always trolling in the Sens thread has no value! lol
Bowers is a late 1st pick being 28th overall in a weak draft... he's exactly what i said, a nobody at THIS time...not a Chabot, Hanifin or any other big prospect that were rumored to go for Duchene...Hammond IS trash... A third isn't worth much...a 1st is good, especially in this draft but hoping to be another late 1st...had to give something else instead of Chabot, White or Brown...
I like Turris but if they couldn't commit long term, might as well package him to upgrade the position...now let's hope that Duch has chemistry with the team and can't wait to see him with Stone, Hoff, Ryan and especially Karlsson...and that we can re-sign him if so! - Raven33
I don't consider Feds a troll at all. He'll make a comment occasionally, but it's almost always in good fun. On to the trade.... If turris would have taken 6 mil per in Ottawa I would have held onto him. Duchene "might" be a slight step up, but Kyle's a very good player. |

GARBAGE Trade for Ottawa.
They essentially gave up:
- 1st round pick
- 1st round prospect from 2017
- 3rd round pick
all this for a player who could maybe bring in 10 more points than the player they traded out.
MASSIVE overpayment |

Duchene may be a much better player in Ottowa with the lineup they have and a winning attitude. Boucher may teach him to play a little defense too. Overall, Sens had to do something. With Karlsson not getting any younger, they have to stop spinning their wheels. |

Duh, they went to the ECF last year and were 2nd overtime game 7 away from Stanley Cup final. I think their successful if they win one more game in the post season.

Simple rule of trading. Team that get best player wins the deal. Today that is Ottawa. Wake me up if it changes because of some future consideration. |
