I highly doubt Duchene was brought in for 1 year and this is a move to get Karlsson some star power. Something tells me Hoffman might be the person that benefits most from this trade..

I was referring to today's approximate value and counting Girard as the first, Bowers as an early second, Kamanev as a late 2nd or early third (counted as a 3rd conservatively here).

Basically I was going for a pretty conservative assessment by pushing Bowers to 2nd and Kamanev to 3rd. But I think Girard has earned himself at least late 1st round value at this point.

I am a huge Turris fan. He plays a very strong defensive game. I have no doubt Duchene brings more offensive weapons. But I am sorry to see Turris go.

I do not think that the Sens could do $6m over 6. They are already too close to the salary cap and big signings needed this summer and next.

You literally traded for a guy who makes as much as turris was asking for and is likely gonna get 7+ over 8 years. And due that new contract the same time karlsson is. Good luck delorean. That's the part I don't get. They keep mentioning saving space for Karlssson but I doubt Duchene is goona be like "hey guys I'll just take whatever spare change you have after the Karlsson deal"
