Should have been a 2 min interference penalty. Probably be suspended for a game. What a game! Didn’t like Manson’s late hit on Martz and although not on purpose should have been a call on the Kopi hit.
Also, get rid of the cameras for offsides. It doesn’t play into what happens 2 min later.

He shouldn't be suspended at all, head wasn't principle point of contact, never raised his elbow on the hit, clean hard open ice hit that was a stride late. And I'm not sure the hit on AMart was late, it was just chest-collapsing. I did think the low bridge on Kopi was dirty though. If it was incidental, then why did Montour get low right at the point of contact? He obviously knew there would be contact. could've also taken out Kopi's knee. And what about Perry sticking his leg out and hindering Quick's ability to move over? That leg being out was not a result of the contact with the defenseman. It's like that donkey from Golden State saying that kicking guys in the balls is part of his shot delivery. BULLpoop. Glad Gibson took one, he should be fine. Brutal game last night, too bad only 4 ducks fans were in the building to see it. Nice home away from home game for the Kings!!
And finally offsides review: Drew was clearly offsides. really nothing to complain about there.

Agree, only stating that the league willl give him one game. Doughty was clearly offsides but I hate the cameras there. Didn’t affect the goal.
I’d like to know what interference with the goalie is to the zebras because I’ve seen it twice as defined by the rule and it wasn’t called.
Love hearing the Kings fans chearing at the pond. Home away from home!

well..... Stevens did say he wanted to lead the league in goalie interference challenges, I think he meant in the offensive zone though

the bottom 6 is atrocious.

we need to resolve the following players because they are boat anchors...

Laich, Muzzin, Andreoff, Camellari

please don't even lobby for any of them, you know they are a problem.

I like Laich (heh) and Andreoff. They're not going to score many (any?) goals, but that's not why they're on the team. Games like last night are exactly the reason why we need Andreoff in the lineup. When Carter comes back, you'll likely get your wish on Laich.

I agree that Cammalleri is pretty bad, but as long as he plays protected minutes in the bottom six and as a sniper on the power play, there's really not much downside to keeping him in the lineup. He's on pace right now for 15g. If he can keep up that pace, then he certainly earned his $1M.

I'm not going to re-litigate the merits of Jake Muzzin. I feel like that horse has already been beaten to death. I don't think he's as good as the advanced stats guys think that he is. I don't think he's as bad as you think he is. He's good for a 3rd defenseman that makes $4M/season. For what it's worth, he has more points than Drew Doughty and is only 4 points behind the league-leading defenseman.

I agree with the grit needed from Andreoff, especially last night, and I don't look to him for scoring, but they have to check, agitate and not get dominated when they are out there, and that is something we were getting from the bottom 6 in the first 5 or so games.

would you really let Camelleri get top unit over Iafallo? I sure wouldn't. Every time they make that switch to Iaffallo, we get a goal. Camelleri is no sniper. he can't play defense, he loses every board battle, he makes telegraphed lame duck passes and is slower than Forbort. So I am going to have to put all my eggs in the "he sucks" basket and also say we have players that would make 400k less who might do a better job. I know we signed him for a song but he gets this veteran clout treatment that he simply is not earning anymore

He looked much better in the 3rd period, but still, he causes goals when he is on the ice, it's getting pretty predictable. and I know my criteria for causing a goal against may be a little (frank)ed up but I am not wrong, and again I think we can do better and we ought to do better in that slot. there has to be a team willing to take him.

I think we're seeing a lot of Andreoff right now due to injuries in the lineup. Once we're healthy, I would keep him on as the 13/14 forward, and rotate him in against hard and heavy team like the Ducks when the extra physicality is required. He shouldn't be in the lineup against teams like Chicago and Toronto. Once Carter, Clifford, and Gaborik are back, he'll likely watch more games from the press box than he does from the bench.

Top unit? No. That should be Kopitar, Brown, & Carter. I wouldn't mind seeing him on the 2nd unit though. I agree with the rest of your assessment about his 5v5 play. Cammalleri is not a 2-way player. He's a very one-dimensional player that is really only good at getting open and shooting the puck. If the Kings are protecting a lead, his minutes should be reduced dramatically. If they're playing from behind and need a late goal, I'd rather have him on the ice than Laich, Andreoff or Amadio.

He certainly has some flaws in his game, but not everyone can be Drew Doughty. I think overall he is a net positive to the team, and as long as pucks keep going in at the rate they are while he's on the ice, then he's doing his job.
