If it is a clean hit, as you say, then there is no reason for teammate to "step up." In today's game, it was a dirty hit. The object of a body check has always been to separate the opponent from the puck. Schenn had plenty of time to pull up, yet decided not to. It was a boneheaded play, and part of the reason he's not a Flyer any longer.

See, this is what I'm talking about. Call it dirty, call it clean. There is an argument here but to say Schenn was traded because of hits like this is asinine. Gudas charged a guy week ago and has a much richer history in stuff like this. Morin is a big, physical kid. I expect Morin to have his share of questionable hits in his career. It's not as cut and dry as you guys are making it.

Maybe just give the guy a break and if people don't agree with his opinion then say so, but keep it to hockey. It seems like others need a safe space because they don't like an opinion made.
