Yeah, it was a tough hit but geez...Schenn hit him as clean as anyone possibly could.

I totally agree that a teammate should have stepped up there but that's not to say Schenn did anything wrong. It simply shows your teammate that you have his back.

If it is a clean hit, as you say, then there is no reason for teammate to "step up." In today's game, it was a dirty hit. The object of a body check has always been to separate the opponent from the puck. Schenn had plenty of time to pull up, yet decided not to. It was a boneheaded play, and part of the reason he's not a Flyer any longer.
