Doesn't change the fact that Gerbe is right, he has as much control as I do at a buffet. It's plagued him two years in a row now.

He meant food and he's absolutely right.

I'll jump him when he's wrong, but he's right on this.

Or maybe he was out of shape because he had an ACL tear. It's not like he was just lazy.

Unless he's packed on pounds since BUF played them, he looked skinny to me. A lot lighter than his rookie season.

There's way too much emphasis on weight. When it should be on if a player can be effective at whatever weight. If not, then he needs to lose weight. If he is, who gives a poop what a number on a scale says?

Charles Clay is supposedly obese, and Tyrod is overweight.

Marshawn Lynch and Willis McGahee were fat (frank)s when they played here and they were fine.

I don't care what your weight is if you perform, much like Watkins, this guy was drafted to be a big target number 1 receiver which he clearly isn't.

The biggest reason he can't get separation, is his weight.

Not saying he can't be a good WR, I think he can, if he keeps his weight under control.

He was fine his rookie year, then he got hurt and missed an entire year. And hasn't hit those numbers again. And isn't on pace to this year either.

I'm not saying it can't be both, but saying missing a year due to injury has nothing to do with it is dumb.

Only 13.3% of Tyrod's passes are to WRs in tight coverage, per #NextGenStats

4th lowest in the league.

Guess who doesn't separate? KB.

Remember when tyrod would throw that nice deep ball, 2 years ago. Kelvin can still separate , his height is really going to help. This trade makes Holmes even better.

Given he tore the ACL in 2015, if he shows up in 2016 with some weight, I'm with you.

When he does it in 2017, the SECOND training camp, it's a lack of professionalism.

So, no, it's not dumb to say the injury has nothing to do with it.

It's dumb to cling to a narrative that you want to because it's popular.
I don't think weight control for players that tore their ACL for two years is typically a problem for professionals in a field that has the BEST rehab specialists going. Heck, most position players that tear their ACL don't show up to camp over weight the first time.

Kelvin Benjamin didn't make the excuse you're giving him, as he stated in the second link I provided.

Again, you were wrong.

Gerbe stated he had to control his food intake. You guys jumped him, I knew exactly what he meant. When I provided the proof of Gerbe's claim, you made an excuse.

Still shows that Gerbe's claim was real.

His mom dying this past summer might have had something to do with it. Just a thought.

You really need to up your reading comprehension.

I never said food wasn't part of it.

I made fun of him, because of course that's what he's going to say.

Unless you've had that injury you don't know what it's like and if you have you'd know that there's a psychological component and whether or not you trust it enough to make the cuts you need to make to gain separation.

He was a very promising receiver that got hurt and never came back 100%. The NFL is littered with those stories.

And of course he's not going to make excuses. He would be torn apart if he went out there and said it there was a mental aspect to it. Just because he weighs more than they want him to doesn't mean that his play isn't also affected by his knee.

Everything is black and white with people today. It's ridiculous. In reality everything is gray.

Again, this just proves Gerbe's point. It doesn't matter why, he showed up out of shape.

I hope for him that he turns it around in Buffalo, but until he proves it, he has to show it.

Ok, just so I'm clear, you do acknowledge that he did in fact show up over weight?
