I would have went with Kershaw even on 2 days rest but I don't think sending Darvish out was a bad call. He's one of the best pitchers in baseball and maybe if the first baseman doesn't (frank) up that toss the game goes a different way.

Kershaw and Jansen will have that effect on you (and Morrow for a batter). Once they got to the 8th, it's almost as if the Astros didn't even want to hit.

Kershaw wasn't starting on 2 days rest. It's just not done today.
I agree Darvish has been one of baseball's best. But Fido is right - it was clear from the first batter that he had nothing in the tank. Zero.
Also, that was an extremely difficult play for a future gold glove first baseman. The game didn't hinge on that play.

I don't agree about "easily". Roberts did make a lot of questionable decisions for sure. But Houston is a solid team, and their pitching found a way.
