Well, even Marincin probably looks good when he's finally being played in his proper position...bottom pairing...in the AHL. Actually, after reviewing his play on that super save by Sparks, he still looks pretty poopty.
The rest does look pretty nice though.

Yay Kap and Leivo!

Do something this time! Make it impossible for Babs to sit you.

i felt leivo played solid hockey at both ends last season. not afraid to throw the odd hit. his 10 points in 13 games to go along with his play should have kept him here. but that's depth for you i guess..

i believe hes a keeper, and hope he confirms my belief in the likely short chance hes getting.

A goal was overturned based on a pretty weak goalie interference.

It benefited the sens and I'll admit it was a bad call, should have counted.

- david22

It was the 2nd goal that was overturned that made my blood boil. The goalie interference call could probably have gone either way. The "intent to blow the whistle" crap on the 2nd disallowed goal is what drives me crazy. Not as bad as the crap that was pulled on the Preds in the Cup Finals, where I felt the ref didnt even have time to lose sight of the puck before he blew it dead, but still bad.

I hope you're really good at the prediction business!

But anyway, here's an honest and deadly serious take on the current status of the Flyers, whose last two games (Anaheim and Ottawa) have been reminiscent of last year's Flyers team in the worst possible ways.

Against Anaheim the Flyers spent way too much time penned in their own zone chasing the puck... much like last years version of the Flyers. When they did gain possession in their own zone, they failed to clear. Alot. They lost 6-2. They deserved to lose 6-2.

Against Ottawa, the Flyers started extremely poorly, as they did so often last year and they immediately fell behind 3-0. They roared back to get a couple goals, then immediately surrendered two more. Then they had two goals disallowed (which happened a lot last year too), and their belated comeback fell short 5-4. If you're going to fall behind 3-0 in the 1st, you deserve to lose regardless of the officiating.

If the Flyers start out badly against the Leafs, its going to get ugly quickly for them.
