Even without JVR that line sucks in its own end from what I saw. Looks like the problem is in fact Bozak. Too bad we don't have more depth at center.

So, Andersen was absolute poop tonight. I've defended him on some other nights, but he should have had most of those tonight. Our defense may not be great, but Andersen needs to be better.

(frank) I sure hope it's just a bad start. I think goals are likely up this year due to all the extra penalties we're seeing, but that still isn't enough to explain Andersen's numbers or on ice play.
If this turns out to just be a slow start like last year and he improves (like last year), then this could be a really fun year for us Leafs fans. If he doesn't improve, this could be a really not fun year for us Leafs fans.

I think he was responding to my comment about Andersen having a slow start last year also.

Clearly you are talking about Bozak, unless you think Andersen is so bad that we need to bring in Thorton or Tavares specifically to play as our starting goalie? Lol.

Seriously though, I agree that Bozak just isn't good enough. Time to trade him to some team that overvalues him due to his numbers while playing with linemates far far more skilled than him. Find a replacement or promote from within. There's gotta be someone that can ride the coattails of other players and also knows how to defend.

I think that lack of center depth keeps Bozak in the lineup for now. We don't really have any good options to replace him.

At this point move Kadri to second line, then move Moore to Line 3 and call up Fehr for 4th... though if Goat is back and ready get him up on 3 and Moore on 4!

If ihe does improve like last year, I’ll go back to being an Andersen fangull. The only player I will never acknowledge if they have a bad game is Matthews. Aetherial knows this.

I meant Andersen. Bozak is a non factor for this team.

Can Leivo play center?? Might be worth it getting him in the lineup and sitting Blowzak out a game or two. I mean putting him on line 4 hell Goat could come up and do what he does, even Aaltonen for that matter. There's some options but honestly think Lou needs to make a few moves sooner rather than later here.
