I think in trading Subban you traded a guy away in his prime for a guy who is past his prime. This trade will look worse as time goes on. Webber just don't fit at his age with the speed game every one is going to.o.
Montreal should have done what Colorado is trying to do with Duchene for examample. You should have gotten a first rnd pick, a solid prospect and a good forward (D man) for Subban. just my opinion. - sparky
So Colorado didn't trading Duchene because they'd rather wait until they get what they consider good value for him.
And the Habs have not traded Galchenyuk either.
HOW in the holy blue hell of satan did those team act any differently at this point? |

The only way to trade pk was for another bad contract, he over paid by about 4 million a year which in the salary cap era is not acceptable. But get use to it ad in a couple years price will be in the same boat. Honestly he looks like hes there now but I think he still has something in the tank. |

I agree in tampa there is a lot of high quality nhl talent around him in montreal drouins talent pool isnt at the caliber of my sunday night mens league team talent pool. Heck theres 4 or 5 players on my team I wouldnt trade straight up for galchenyuk. |

Well considering you estimate Galchenyuk's value as a 4th line bust....
I'm surprised there are only 4 or 5. It's almost like you're not making any sense.

A choice. obtain a forward, possibly a Centerman or a good D man. maybe could have gotten both for PK.

Agreed, subban was a virus on the team and caused distractions in the locker room, wasnt a team player and always tried to be to flashy on the ice and ended up giving the puck away in his own zone a lot and never took responsibility. Weber as a bad contract like subban but id take him on my team everytime. Much like why weber is selected for every team canada and pk isnt even a consideration after the one time he did kindoff play with them. As for sergachev youll need to give that a couple years as you said but personally I hope it was a bad trade. As for galchenyuk if you can get any trade value for him let him go quickly. But honestly as I just posted he gets you a 5th or 6th round pick or possibly another player who was a high pick but has been a bust in recent years in a swap. He doesnt get you kreider and zucerello or duchene as most habs fan think he's worth. Wake up and smell tge coffee! - Chardcore709
You were probably one of those who called Subban a "chicken poop slewfooting loudmouth who won't drop'em" when he was a Habs. |

His norris trophy was a total joke in all honestly I wont get started on that one. Pk does have some offensive talent for sure but his d is often bad. He can get you points but he also makes so many bone head flashy plays in his own zone that gives scoring chances to the other team. Price bailed him out so many times it wasnt funny, if you were watching the games. Hes worth no more then 5 to 5.5 million. You cant honestly think he's worth 9 mil a year? |

Lou would never be that stupid...by my team I didnt mean the leafs organization they wouldnt be that dumb. I meant theres 4-5 players on my sunday night beer league team I wouldnt trade one for one for galchenyuk. If you need names CC, Bootsy, Big Rob, Mikey D or Pistol Pete...id take a look for some of the others but they would be untouchable in the galchenyuk deal!
