I'm not down with trading anymore picks. Like to see them work with what they got and hopefully they can add more at the TDL.

- Marwood

I'd be Ok with a 3rd in the right deal.

Baertschi+Hutton+3rd.

Reinhart is 21, already better than Baertschi, and will only get better. His style of play would also work well with both Boeser and Horvat.

Speaking of Sawchuk, he was the 1st player taken in the 1967 expansion draft. The first 12 players taken were all goalies.

When I was a much younger fella I had a part time job working in a lumber yard. Former Winnipeg Jets goaltender Joe Daley was a co-worker. He had just retired from the WHA and was spending his days loading 2X4's into pick up trucks and hand-shlepping drywall for about $10 bucks an hour. He said he still needed to work after his hockey career was finished. Nice guy who never once mentioned he was taken 5th in the '67 expansion draft.

For a bottom 3rd team good trends in how newer and younger players are playing 5x5 with new coaching system. PP deficiency will keep them from contending in bubble status over the long run. Prospect talent making its way to NHL will eventually change that.

Yup, some of the asset mgmt issues seem to be sorted out.
The Gadjovich contact was another one that seemed odd at first but means that his contract will slide next year playing I the AHL.

- belcherbd

How is that possible?

Found the real answer.
Another year of waiver excemption.

Cool story. A lot of those guys had to have jobs after their careers ended, John Garrett is still working.......kinda.

Pension kicked in at 55. I worked with this guy stocking shelves when I was 17.

The period between hangin' 'em up and the pension deferral makes those menial jobs seem a bit more practical. These guys didn't finish their careers and have much in the way of other qualifications to fall back on. No wonder they all used to cry when they retired.

One of my insurance guys is a former Canuck from the early 70's. He says he still needs to work most of the year to keep the bills paid.

I just read that the our shot-attempts percentage with the sedins on the ice is much higher than any other players so far. 59% for henrik and 58% for daniel. Boeser is 3rd with 54%.

I had the impression that they weren't accomplishing much in the limited ice time but it looks like they're having a decent impact so far

...or would get past a goalie. Daniel's attempts make it look like he's been using Brendan Morrison as his shooting coach.
