Pretty Average??? The Knights have started really slow this year. I have been to two games and he has been flying around the ice . I think you got a really good one . Kid has been the class of the team. Have you seen any of his games ? He came back fired up after his camp in Buffalo.

'Zilla, there is no room for rationale, objective comments on the Sabres thread. Especially when it comes to anything Gerbe says. In case you're wondering, Gerbe is the Sean Avery of this thread....

The thing with Kane is most of his penalties come from his aggressive play. That's not going to change unless he changes his style and then he wouldn't be nearly as effective.
- Wetbandit1

There are plenty of aggrssive players who don't take penalties.

It's a flaw in his game.

Ristolainen is incredibly aggressive and rarely takes minor penalties

Show me a flawless player though.

Kane takes most of his penalties on the forecheck because of his aggressiveness. I'm not saying he couldn't stand to take a few less, but cutting them out completely isn't possible without fundamentally changing the way he plays.

What's a Boslovic?

- Wetbandit1

I’m pretty sure he’s a can’t miss prospect Murray traded away in one of those trades that netted us nothing but cap problems and countless SBroads posts.

Risto is already a more complete player than Myers ever was. You can't teach nasty, and he has that competitiveness

Happy to see Pu signed.

Id like to see Jack being set up more for those Ovie style slappers on the power play. I'd like to see him use his speed more too. He is crazy strong on the puck at times. Just shoves guys off his back. I don't think he is ready to be captain yet however.

Lehner hasn't instilled any confidence in me this season. I think he is a decent no.1 but not good enough to carry a mediocre team.

O Reilly is getting his game back. Good to see. He can be a beast when playing his game. You could see the intensity in his face even after the winner the other night.

Risto needs to be more dominant.

Scandella looks good. No worries about him.

Tenyson is a disaster. Keep Fedun playing instead.

Pommer is waaaaay better than expected for me. I like him on Jacks wing though. Just a smart player who can finish jacks set ups. Good to see him back in the blue and gold.

Reinhart is frustrating to watch. Never wins a battle but wouldn't surprise me if he puts up decent point totals this year. He has an uncanny knack of building points but seems to be between a 2nd and 3rd line centre to me. Id move on him when midlestadt is up and coming.

Cautious optimism for Bailey. He is bringing the energy that was lacking. Still seems a bit loose out there but I'm sure a decent chunk of games and goals will allow it all to click for him.

Housely needs to settle on a 4th line, let them gel and allow them to build pride as the 'tough to play against' guys. Larson and nolan are perfect 4th liners.

Kane is a real treat to watch. If he stays out of the box he is a scary player to have on the team. Hard to believe he will sign in Buffalo if the Sabres have another loosing season. He has never been in the playoffs and the guys wants to win bad. Im sure plenty top teams will want him if it seems his life outside of hockey is all good. Id like to see Botts lock him up though.

And finally,

Winning will fix everything...including this forum.

Fedun is the truth. You look at his NHL stats and wonder why there haven't been more games played.

I'd gladly take Fedun over Gorges or Tennyson.

Not saying there is one.

But this routine of always making Kane's flaws a positive is weird.

It's like saying Girgensons falling down a lot is actually great because he might block a shot once and a while
