Watching the Leafs in the Ott end, of all the soft calls we've seen I thought for sure they'd call hook/holds on the Sens. Oh well.

I don't either. I was at the Flyers-Oilers game this afternoon.. Ian Walsh (who was honored for his 1,000th game as a ref) and Chris Rooney called the game. They arent exactly the worst referees in the league, and yet... they were brutal today and I had no idea what was and wasnt going to be a penalty.

I agree with you.. especially about Tim Peel.

I think a major problem is that they have too many things to look out for, the game is much faster today than at any other time, and quite frankly the human eye and the human brain don't work any sharper or any faster than they ever have.
