So Antiin...

I thought he looked good last night. He is quick and can move the puck. I think what Phil wanted him to do was sit and watch a few games to pick up on the "system" and how the NHL game is played. Also, the other day when Housley was skating with McCabe and everyone freaked out on Twitter, I think that was so Antipin can watch him and see whats expected in the "system". Apparently Antipin can't speak English very well if at all and the Sabres haven't hired a translator.

So, when do the fans send a message to the TEAM, not ownership, that their performance is unacceptable?
I sense a fan holdout coming... no one shows up for 1 game as a demonstration that is sure to be heard around the world.

As a 9 year Season Ticket Holder I would totally be on board with this although it would never happen. There were a lot of empty seats last night. Many STH's that I know left their seats empty. It was only the 3rd home game of the year which is sad that it is already this bad.

The team maybe has 1 pretty good player (Eichel) and one, maybe 2 "good" players (O'Reilly, Risto). Other teams are just more talented than ours, it's really just that simple. It's not a question of performance or effort - some team has to have the worst talent in the league - and this year, it happens to be us. Right now, I'm at the point of being grateful that we even have a franchise. Playoffs ? Forget it. At least we have a team. That's what gets me through the season now.

I understand that sentiment...but in relationship to Pegula’s.

As far as the players go, nope I disagree. It is a collection of underachievers in the top and they play flat for 2/3rds of the game...for 6 of 8 games. They are weak mentally and that should be a prime consideration for Botts when evaluating the team. They need to weed these players out...who wilts when the going gets tough, who shows leadership and plays through all the crap...who makes those around them better.

Will be interesting to see.

Seriously though. Is Eichel good? Rick Nash scored tons of goals on terrible “JAX” teams. Matthews is lighting it up.

Sure, jack scores. But I’m still waiting to see next level performance. Like take the game over elite performance.

Sam seems like a problem. Entitled. Where has been his performance been in relation to his draft position? Not that draft position matters.

And ROR- here’s the thing. I would bet part of him agreeing to his new contract with us was guaranteed center and leadership role. Those are the issues he had with Colorado that we heard in the media.

So here’s the biggest thing. If we keep ROR then Sam plays wing. If we keep ROR, we need to get rid of Sam.

This all stems from our terrible gms and then thinking they have landed the big fish when we signed the buns who would agree to play in western New York.

Okposo, ROR, moulson, etc. all looked good on other teams. We think they will transfer their skills and attitudes here a la nhl 2018. Th don’t. Why not? Fan boy owner-> chums around with players. -> no accountability. Lazy play.
