rochester was not an option

that's what I meant of course, brain-fart. the point is, it wasn't the destination, it was his entitlement and consequent sulking ever since.

something about holding a grudge against the entire organization just because he felt he was owed an NHL spot because of his draft position.

you can see him on the ice. No passion.

I swear i'm not a buffalo 39 alternate account.

Ok... I gave u a chance to say what the problems are...

Clearly u have no idea except u don’t like Pegula, so it’s his fault

It’s not my fault your takes are garbage

- jdfitz77

Wow, you're worse than Gerbe, honestly. Kid looks like a mother-(frank)ing einstein compared to you.

carry on.

botts said the kids had to earn playing time with the big club this year
- homiedclown

Isn’t that said every year, in every organization?

That should be true regardless of whether or not there’s “bratty” behavior happening in the Sabres locker room

I don’t see the correlation

I think it's more of if the kids are not getting decent minutes, they are not going to be with the big club

no more prospects coming up to play 8 minutes on d or 6 minutes on the 4th line

which is a good thing

So how is it Pegula’s fault for creating a bad work atmosphere if Reinhart is still being a little baby?

And are u saying that Sam is being a brat still?
U keep skirting around saying what the “issues” actually are

Sure... makes sense
I think that’s a different point though than saying there’s locker room issues with Sam or whoever though

Bots made it clear he wants the young guys to develop, I think that's been the problem since Darcy, bringing these guys up way too early. Grigorenko, Zads, Risto, Fasching last year, etc.

These kids need time. Bailey is one that wasn't brought up that much and spent what three solid years down there?

He was one of the best players tonight in terms of consistent effort.

I am a firm believer that's why pouliot was signed

play him a year instead of the kids

problem is I don't see that splash to make the roster better for this year, unless they thought bogo makes the d decent and the rest of the guys up front were fine

- homiedclown

I didn't think we'd be much better than last year, with some luck maybe squeak into the playoffs but I didn't see this crap coming.

I'm not sure what Botteril will do but one thing is for sure he needs to find guys in the bottoms 6 that make it hard to play against. Whether that is guys who hit or guys who just forecheck hard with speed I dont really care, we just need guys who make it hard game in game out on the other team.

My expectation was always it wouldn't be until December until we could really grade this team. There was too much baggage and most teams (with some exceptions before we cite Vegas as the normal standard) don't start playing that well with huge roster turnover and GM/Coach.

Really? Did we think a guy signed from the KHL and a guy who was available for a 3rd were going to turn this D around? All while retaining a contract like Moulson?

Really? This is what you blog with? A "flimsy" offside call? Let me point this out, GARTH...THEY ARE BEING OUTSHOT 55 to 10 at the end of 2 periods. They gave up another shorthanded goal, believe that's 6 in 8 games. PLEASE stop cheerleading, this team is HORRIBLE!!!! This organization is HORRIBLE. I read one comment that was spot on last week. Phyllis was soft when he played, Pomminville was is a cupcake. It's OBVIOUS that Laviolette was the heavy in Nashville because the ONLY way any future Sabres team will win is with a strict disciplinarian coach. 8 games in and I'm unplugging on these LOSERS, they SUCK. Face Facts and STOP CHEERLEADING.

the 3rd line was a beast though last year with a combo of girgens, larsson, foligno and gionta

Girgensons-Eichel-Pominville
Bailey-O’Reilly-Rodrigues/Larsson
Kane-Reinhart-Okposo
Nolan-Josefson-Larsson/Rodrigues

That could get us with 3 lines scoring
And that would help A LOT

Yeah, but if this team had instead rattled off, say a three game win streak even if it was all flukey, the other guys would be coming out of the wood work predicting a stanley cup run.
