In fairness he says that when he's sober as well. After (presumably) never meeting the man, when you bring up Pegulas name, his reaction resembles Warren after someone messes with his ear muffs. - gcomella34
Yeah, that's what I meant. It was a bit ambiguous I guess.
if they want to keep the experiment, put ror on the wing and let the skunk play second line center
ror can take the face offs if needed - homiedclown
Depends on how u want your 3rd line to play
Are they a checking line?
Then no he doesn’t fit
But if they’re a scoring line (like we had in 05-06 & 06-07),
then he’s could be a part of a unit that gives other teams matchup problems
Pretty sure JVR is on line 3 & i think the Leafs moves Marner down there recently as well
Failure is a hell of a teacher.......if you let it.
However, the personality type of most managers is to blame other people for failures and carry on. If you haven't read Jung's Typology for personality it's pretty fascinating.
I took the test....took me two hours.....all to reveal what all know anyway...I'm an bumhole. - gcomella34
Although I like that he told the establishment to (frank) off when he was nothing and still made it. That took guts. I still hate his music. - Wetbandit1
He needs to play wing, it is quite evident that he is getting overwhelmed at centre playing against anyone with speed. - BigStew
That’s an interesting point
Regardless,
I’d still like to see some scoring ability on line3 either way
Pouliot & Griffith are killing any chance that line has of producing

Agreed, those two aren’t creating anything or even putting pressure on anyone so we can create turnovers.

Shifting the lines around to get some scoring coming from that line should be step 1
Girgensons looked good with Jack & Pommer
So start there when he comes back
Girgs-Eichel-Pommer
If we don’t like Sam at center, then how about him back with O’Reilly? That seemed to work (if only for a couple games). Keep Bailey there bc he’s looked good too
Bailey-O’Reilly-Reinhart
That leaves us with a possible 3rd line of
Kane-Larsson-Okposo
I could see that line scoring
And being pretty decent defensively
Just making those simple changes could help the overall team play quite a bit

It’s at least a logical place to start - jdfitz77
I would have kept ROR and Sam together from the start, would love to see a Bailey and Kane together but not sure if they both play the same side, or should play the same side.

Bailey’s natural position is RW,
so they could play on the same line
I kept Bailey on O’Reilly’s line bc that’s where he’s scored both his goals
Regardless of how the lines are shifted,
my point is that we need more than just Sam on line3 if we wanna see production from it
So keep him there, & add someone like Kane or Okposo...
OR
Move Sam back to the top6 on the wing, but then move down a couple guys (say Kane AND Okposo) and see if that works
Either way
We MUST start getting some scoring from line3
