I must say, with 2 seasons (counting this one) left in his very abordable contract.

If you want to get the most value for him, you need to trade him now, or at least during the season.

Otherwise, you'll receive rental value.

Just like the Leafs will/would/might get with JVR.

For what it's worth, I like Pacioretty, he's been our best forward in the last 6 years and one of the best goal scorers in the game.

But with all his playoffs troubles and his inability to step up when things get though.... I'm not sure I'd want to keep him around for 7-8M... which is exactly what he's going to get.
