Of course, and again I am not trying to bash the guy here, he absolutely knows more than you or I about the game of hockey. I'm just saying that he's not getting younger and the game has changed a lot in recent years and is only continuing to change. That's all. He'd be a fine choice of coach for any team, but I am of the opinion that the game may be changing faster than he can...that's all. - eichiefs9

Its a lot easier to talk to people who have played the game and have been in and understand every situation because they have actually been through them and know the thought process, it's a fast moving chess game out on the ice and you need to know the scenarios of every move you make.
For Example: Something as simple as turning left or right in a split second have dire consequences. You are taught that you are always "Supposed" to always turn TOWARDS the puck thus always keeping it in your line of sight, BUT there are plenty of instances when you actually should turn AWAY from it. |

I am usually pretty optimistic and play the "relax it's early" type role. Don't know why, but I feel no sense of optimism. I think this year is going to be tough.

Pete, you on the sell, sell, sell "if" the season continues the way it has. Start over next year? |

Why is Buchnevich playing on the 4th line? It's not like they are loaded with top end talent up front. That kid should be playing a lot more then he is, no? |

AV.
Who knows. Kid started out battling for every puck, creating plays and then AV decided to put him on the 4th line. Looked great on the 1st line with Zibanejad. If anything, Kreider should have been demoted off that line. |

Kreider must drive you guys nuts. He can be a beast at times and then becomes invisible for long stretches. What did you think of Barzal last night? Curious to read a non Islander review of him. I thought he was the best forward on the ice last night |

I mean, if it continues like this, you have to sell certain players. It's not even a question.

Kreider is Nelson. Nelson is Kreider. Both have loads of talent and both either go completely missing for long stretches or get hot for stretches. |

Yup. Kreider is that guy you love, but hate. If he puts in the effort uses his speed and is physical he can take over a game. Its why he is so frustrating.
Barzal looked fantastic last night. Haven't watched any of your other games so don't know if he has been playing like that every game. |

What's worse? Kreider's disappearing acts or those Ranger, Devils, Knicks & Islander promo's featuring the fans? "I said hey Anders give them hell" facking brutal |

Those commercials are the absolute worst. "Shatty is the missing piece."
I would rather hear "France in the Air, ohhhhhhh woooo ohhhhh" on a loop |
