Special teams are a (frank)ing mess, Rangers went into a shell because AV is desperate for 2 points to save his job
- HankdaTank

In contrary, you are inferring that A.V. is really trying to lose his job. Teams that go into shells with a lead, like the Rangers did today for the 2nd & 3rd periods, (minus ONE highlight move goal rush by Hayes), will lose close scoring games 99% of the time. That's why I mentioned just earlier that they were "lucky" to win this game.

And for a good portion of the game, the Rangers held the Preds to almost the same amount of shots up until the end of the third shots were 14-18. They played well.

Hank played very well, & the team played tighter defensively, along with their penalty killers doing the job in like Hank, succeeding in surviving that 2:00 of nonstop puck possession and shots attempts taken deep in the Rangers zone on that horrible penalty call against Smith.
Otherwise, they basically survived for the last 2 periods by going into A.V.'s riutine style, offensive shell, in registering only 6 total shots on goal at home against the Preds backup goalie in Saros.
That includes ZERO SOG on 3 straight power plays, with two of them coming back to back in the 2nd, shortly before Hayes's highlight game winning goal on a rush. Without that one rush being successful in its result, they could have easily lost this game in contrast in that 3rd period.
In their 6-2 loss last night to Anaheim, Pacioretty alone had 10 shots on goal of the Canadiens 51 to Anaheim's 45.

But they got the 2 points.
- Fenrir

They are not going to "get" too many points in going for it offensive wise for only one period. The positives were getting these 2 points, and that they showed up in the 1st period for a change.

There's a lot of chatter going on with trade talk for "more than one team" that have not lived up thus far to their projected highs. One doing a lot of the discussing is Montreal. Who could be among those other few?
Edmonton?
Rangers?

Rangers have traded Puempel to Detroit for Ryan Sproul, maybe a domino on the back end, hopefully not Skjei as part of a deal for Duchene

Sproul looks interesting but if they move Skjei I might have to take a long break.

Holy (frank)! I almost pissed myself when I saw this one! That’s about the greatest pic I’ve ever seen.
I recorded the game today and just finished it. We were lucky to get out with a win. Although, Hank looking like Hank had a lot to do with it.
Not sure why Nick Holden was on the ice with 2minutes left.

Just for the record, did you Photoshop this yourself or did you find it online? And if you found it online, what was your search query???

He was a really good play Sault Ste. Marie, then he hit a wall in terms of development.
