There wasn't a D upgrade worth getting for Bozak or JVR in the off-season, so I doubt there's one now.

I like what we have in the mix.

Borgman looks solid, Rosen shows promise, but still needs adjusting; both do actually, but we're not even at the 10 game mark, so let's put that into perspective.

It's not like we're asking these kids (Carrick too) to log huge minutes in the top 4.

And then you have Liljegren and Dermott knocking on the door, so who exactly are we trying to land out there?

Anybody better than Hainsey is going to cost us Marner, but then we'd have to move someone else.

If we can move Leivo for a 5/6/7 D that's reliable who's ok with sitting for most of the year, I'd consider that for a deep playoff run.

I don't mind what I've seen out of Carrick so far.

I think he'll get better as the season progresses and he's feisty.

We’ll see, I think you’ll see a package with JVR by mid season. Who knows, I don’t mind our D but they don’t blow me away.

I tried it once- had a terrible problem with a raccoon tearing up my nicely planted garden, Coksuker caused hundreds of $'s of damage. Set a trap and in the morning after the cage was bursting with a very big 50+ lbs angry raccoon. Set it out in front of the house and there were no takers. Got a knock on the door at night - it was city wildlife services and they asked if I knew anything about the cage full of raccoon in front of my house, I said no -- and they took the fuker away.

We have a softball net in the backyard for the kids to hit into.

Couple of years ago we were awoken by shrieks - stupid garbage panda had gotten itself completely entangled in the net. You wouldn’t believe how tightly wrapped it was.

I phoned Animal Control. They looked at it, asked if I was cool with them cutting the net.

“I would prefer you kill it, instead of damaging my daughters’ softball net.”

Yeah, didn’t go over well.

Disagree. Rotate Leivo into the first line instead of Martin, depending on game. Leivo-Fehr-Brown as your 4th line to mop up against the weakest defenders.
