Exactly. No idea how that guy is a "ref" on this site to be honest.

Thanks SMBDragon!

Listen up Hartman, go blow your load elsewhere.

You want to give thanks, try the phylers thread, so make like the birds and flock off

Unfortunately this is not a correct observation, my stance was and still is to this very day, is that the players lack any high end talent and regardless of the coach the results would be the same. My stance was to counter the piling on that Desjardins was the sole issue with the team.

Several people took that stance as a Desjardin sympathizer and they are still wrong.

And the whole fire Green shtick is just that, the guy has no NHL coaching experience and it shows. The club should have held interviews and hired a seasoned coach.

There it is, so let’s see how this is misinterpreted going forward.

- Makita

fair enough, the correction is noted.

WD earned getting piled on with doing a terrible job. Never learned from his mistakes either.

I agree with you and many others that there should have been interviews with many coaches. I do accept TL's explanation that they were well aware of what TG was about and what he brought to the table.

Many good nhl coaches have come from a farm team and made a splash in their 1st or 2nd year, so for this reason we shouldnt count out TG. Some just have the right tools. I believe TG has the right stuff, lets see how he adapts and stacks up against very good coaches.

Just watched the Gudbranson hit...you guys are crazy if you don't think that was a major. 2 game suspension is my guess.
- belcherbd

I had no problem with the initial call, but my gripe was about the no instagator for Boston. Haven't watched the replay, so i don't know about the suspension.

12 minutes a night. He sure is. Be great if a top 10 pick could play behind Hedman, Stralman, Coburn, Girardi.

Sergachev in Montreal. I wonder if you would say the samething.

Best way to get him is to make sure the team is competitive. As the new lotto system has proven it doesn't reward tanking. Then karma may finally smile on the Canucks with such a superstar in the making.

Kassian with one of the biggest charging penalties I have seen in awhile.

He went full on Ferland.

Skating half the length of the ice to hit a guy from behind.

Probably back on the blow.

There is that much gap between the defence on team Canada. Wow. Canada must lack depth.

I thought they played hard, no complaints there. Ice times were where they should be imo, although I wish Virtanen would get more than 8 or 9 minutes. Poulliot seems to be doing ok with nearly 20 minutes of icetime.
- LeftCoaster

He was still last by just about 3 minutes. Even Bengiveaway Hutton played more.

Edit: So according to nhl.com and their stats. Ben Hutton has 7 giveaways and 8 take aways. Do they watch different games then us?

I enjoy these results much more then I did last season.

WD sucked.

I also wanted a coach with at least some NHL experience even with an Asst coach. TG is learning, he's also learning with the team and players. He's getting more out of the team then WD did. He got Bo to pass the puck.

The team probably won't be contending for another year or two, TG seems to be adapting.

Is that the way you perceive what I say? You should try and ignore what I say then. When you see my avatar, just skip over my posts.

If you can't, that's your problem not mine.
