That assist by McDavid has posterized Keith for life.

I knew sergachev would dominate after coming into the league.

2 goals tonight. 7 points in 8 games.

- classic321

12 minutes a night. He sure is. Be great if a top 10 pick could play behind Hedman, Stralman, Coburn, Girardi.

Sergachev in Montreal. I wonder if you would say the samething.

Different type of players as far as i'm concerned. OJ is like MEV and Sergachev is like Burns.

The two best ways to win the cup are to have a MEV(hasnt won quite yet)/Keith/Doughty type, or to have a 1-2 punch on a crosby/malkin

He plays with Girardi, which is like having a 200lb anchor around your ankle and he is still putting up those numbers.

Virtanan averaging 8 and a half mins per game. I trust Green 100% though, but that's interesting.

Thanks everyone!

Makita is rallying to fire Green. Is your Resume ready and current?
- VANTEL

funny he was one of the people advocating letting WD have more time yet wants to can TG after 5-6 games only.

It might be time to send him down if Green won't trust him with more minutes. He hasn't been producing offensively, but he also hasn't been a liability defensively most of the time.

Yet we were all wishing they went D so we could take him at 5OA that draft. Bullet dodged.
- Retinalz

or maybe he would have developed fine here, it's kinda impossible to say.

On that note, as we're tossing around the idea of battling Edmonton for the 1st OA next year...It doesn't look like Dahlin is a player of the same ilk as McDavid or Mathews.

My question is, is Dahlin more like a Nico/Hall type?
By that i mean he's going to be good, not great??

Ekblad is pretty decent, but for every Ekblad there is a Johnson, Jovo, Berard.

I have never played with a better prospect, Joel Lundqvist (Frölunda) 2017

Kevin Wickersham My NHL Trade Rumors - Aug. 12th: "Currently 6-2, 181-pounds he’s considered a franchise-changer by some, with comparisons to fellow countryman Erik Karlsson. Several scouts saying he’s further along at his age than Karlsson when 17. He’s hockey-smart, a fast, fluid skater and puck-handler with skilled hands. He lends a physical presence, offensive intuition off the charts, and a wicked shot. Solid on defensive end with some room to develop in terms of positioning."

Rory Boylen Sportsnet - July 10th: “I’ve never seen a player like him in that you give him a couple of chances and shifts at a higher level and he can easily adapt to that level,” Sweden national junior team coach Tomas Monten told NHL.com. “He has a certain way of pushing his game against better players and at higher speeds. He’s skilled and talented and a defenceman we can have a lot of use for. A couple years down the road, for sure, he’s going to be a good player.”

Corey Pronman ESPN - June 25th: "In isolated moments, Dahlin was one of the most dynamic players in the SHL at the age of 16 this past season. His skating, puck skills and particularly his offensive IQ all get elite grades. He looks special when he has the puck, playing at a pace beyond his age, with the tools to make difficult moves seem routine. "

Doughty>Keith>Vlasic imo. With quite a gap between each of em.

I don't think there is that big of a gap really. the biggest difference between Doughty and Keith/MEV is Doughty can produce more offense on his own than them. Defensively i dont see a dif

Just watched the Gudbranson hit...you guys are crazy if you don't think that was a major. 2 game suspension is my guess.

I thought they played hard, no complaints there. Ice times were where they should be imo, although I wish Virtanen would get more than 8 or 9 minutes. Poulliot seems to be doing ok with nearly 20 minutes of icetime.

I've seen a lot worse. A lot. I've even seen Daniel get his head taken off and been no suspension. It was a bad hit. But, even worse, Guddy is wearing a Canuck jersey. He's screwed.

Unfortunately this is not a correct observation, my stance was and still is to this very day, is that the players lack any high end talent and regardless of the coach the results would be the same. My stance was to counter the piling on that Desjardins was the sole issue with the team.

Several people took that stance as a Desjardin sympathizer and they are still wrong.

And the whole fire Green shtick is just that, the guy has no NHL coaching experience and it shows. The club should have held interviews and hired a seasoned coach.

There it is, so let’s see how this is misinterpreted going forward.
