I feel like there have been a few years where Lundqvist got off to a slow start and everyone wrote the Rangers' obituary, but they always seem to get it together by the end of the year. I don't think Lundqvist's GAA will be this high all season, and when it improves, they'll be better. |

I know youre joking and bailey is playing very well and doing it away from jt. Maybe he's figured out what it takes for him to be successful in this league - Upstate_isles
I never joke about trades. I was about this trade though. Isles do seem to have too many players. Wonder who the Habs were scouting with the Isles? Bailey has played well so far.

This year feels different though with the Rangers being thin at center. Pressure will only increase on Hank with this team. I know the Rangers fans are upset with AV, but he was not given the best roster. |

I agree it feels different, and I don't think they're as close to being contenders as they were a couple of years ago, but really, one three-game winning streak and they're probably right back in this thing, and I think they're perfectly capable of that. Most teams in the league aren't either awesome or terrible. There's so much parity now that almost all teams are competitive, but with pretty big flaws that are magnified at times and masked at other times depending on whether the team as a whole is on a hot or cold streak. I mean, if we agree that the Devils probably aren't going to be competing for the division lead come January, then maybe the Rangers won't be in last place by then, either. |

I was wrong initially with my season prediction for sure, but I did say to myself after their cup final loss to LA that they get 3 more years of relevancy and then they're done. Well lookie lookie. - bgainesDM

Ranger lover.
It is too early to write anyone off totally. As we saw with the Isles last year though, it's an uphill climb when you start off badly. |

A couple of seasons ago, the Penguins were barely above last place in the division into December. Then they made a coaching change, and next thing you know they're hoisting the Stanley Cup. Too early to write off anybody, as you said. But yeah, the Rangers look like this could be a lottery season for them. At least they picked a season with a good draft.... |

Only 3 teams have made the playoffs when starting as badly as the rangers have in the 4 division format. Philly and the rangers are 2 of those teams. The isles arent that bad, good possesion team and 91 and 7 have bad pdo. I believe they will turn it around and they have the tools and talent to score. Weight was here last year but to get his own system implemented along with getting the rookies up to speed takes time. 20 games is the measuring stuck and if they are in a playoff spot by thanksgiving then they should be good for a playoff spot |

The 3 point games really hurt when you start off like the Rangers. I would like to see the Isles go on a little run and especially with the Rangers struggling. Isles have shown some promising signs, but still have things to clean up. |

Goalwise, we replaced them. Frans would not have saved us from that 3 month carcrash at the beginning of last year.
Also, regarding thr Rangers, doesn't help that Hank is on the wrong side of 30. - bgainesDM
Can you tell me what stocks to buy as well.
