Probably be a good idea to give him easy zone starts and some PP time. Ease him in. That's why I was questioning tonight being his first game probably would have been a better idea getting him in a couple games ago IMO.
- Cptmjl

First game is the first game no matter who you play imho. I don't see him with much 5v5 time. His zone starts won't be in the d zone thats for sure. Maybe after a PK, give one of the PK dman a blow. Dressing 7 dman tells you the staffs confidence in his 5v5 play. He's there to save the PP.

Got a do your job no matter who you play. This is the league where you get paid to play. Guys a pro and wants to play. Show them you deserve it.

Might as well get him in to a game against the 2nd worst team in the league.

Youre definitely the best at being the worst don't let the numbers fool you.

Why do you hate Pulock so much? What did he ever do to You?

I don't hate anyone, ( except maybe you and JS ) as a matter of fact I was/am a big Pulock fan as a prospect, however I don't think he's the next coming of Al Iafrate on the PP., Nor do I think he has played well when given the opportunity to prove his game is quick enough for the NHL.

I loved watching him at ST Games in BP but that and his AHL All Star year and 100 mph plus slapshot isn't giving me a woody. He needs to compete in every aspect/zone of the game. Do you think he was good 5v5 or even on the PP in the Pre Season?

Wait what? I never said anything bad about Barzal. I'm just mocking the fans thinking Weight is like Capuano in terms of philosophy. I think Beauvillier will go down, not Barzal.
- bgainesDM

Weight transitioning to Jack meanwhile, he finally plays Pulock today and still has Barzal and Ho-Sang and Mayfield in the lineup.

That to me says you don't think he should be in the line up. I could have taken that incorrectly, but that's what you posted.

Honestly i differ, i feel the logjam at D from team wasnt allowing him to play at the nhl level, plus his past injuries could have derailed him also .....

No which i said. I thought he looked putrid but you cant have the kid sitting on the bench endlessly. Let him take his lumps and DEVELOP him. Thats what you do with prospects. Hence why I said picking this particular game against a desperate rival is strange to me but what do I know? Doug Weight is a REAL NHL coach as we've seen. Put him in situations where he can succeed and DEVELOP his game. Another thing this team is completely inept at doing. I don't like you any longer either. You are a very disappointing person. I'm hoping for better posts from you soon.

hockey rumor tweet saying that Galy for Pulock is close?
Id love to get Galy but how does that make us better?
that would mean Beau will never play again for sure.

God i hope our PP finally delivers. Poor Pulock is being set up to fail. If he doesnt score in the 9 mins of playing time he gets its back to the press box.

This is most nervous i have been about isles rangers and we are far better team.

Thats why he looked like Monkey Diarrhea in the pre season? Cop out!

Barzal wanted to make the team. He came into camp in great shape and was ready to compete and earned his spot. Just like every other rookie/prospect, Pulock needed to prove himself and didn't. As a matter of fact he took a big step backwards in my eyes.
Maybe He thought with TH being traded he was a shoe in, I don't know but he didn't play well.
Now I hope he takes this new life line Dougie is throwing him( and they are dressing 7 dman so he gets in ) and runs with it and makes the next games lineup 10X harder for Dougie to make a decision on who he wants out there to play D.

The initial argument was against sitting Beau and thinking Doug doesn't play the youngsters, meanwhile Barzal and Ho-Sang and Pulock are all playing.

With Leddy/Boychuk/Dehaan/Hickey/Mayfield/Seidenberg/Pelech sign to 1-way contracts, really dont see Pulock crackin lineup regardless

Garf likes using the 2way contracts to his benefit

He's up with the big club so he's getting a big boy check if he even has a 2 way contract, i don't know.

Anyone who doesn't think barzal earned his spot or should be on the minors has their head up their ass. Kids has looked good missed some points but he brings it at both ends. Pulock didn't earn it and maybe he's the 4th line wing and on pp1 tonight. Could be hickey but the only reason they go 7 d is they don't have confidence in his defensive zone abilities

What does this even mean? A two-way contract means you get paid the NHL rate when you're up and the AHL rate when you're down, so even if he's in the Press Box he's still getting paid at the NHL salary
